Mission Australia Housing is an established and progressive, Tier One National Community Housing provider of social and affordable housing and also provides both tenancy and asset management services for a number of third party organisations and private investors.
 
We seek to offer a pathway away from homelessness by providing good-quality housing that enable people to participate in their communities.
 
Your Opportunity
 
We are seeking 3 Client Service Officers with excellent people skills and Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable client/community groups to join a newly established team in the heart of Coffs Harbour!

This varied position will see you providing the necessary ‘front of house’ assistance to clients dealing with complex issues by supporting and matching clients to appropriate housing solutions and ensuring processes are fair and transparent.

Reporting to the Team Leader, your primary focus will be to ensure that all clients walking into the Mission Australia Housing office will be treated with dignity and respect and be a driving force in delivering innovative and proactive solutions to resolve housing needs.
 
Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Prepare reports in regards to the client services division of the service including applications, allocations and customer service management
  • Liaise and link clients with appropriate support organisations to commence wrap around services or early intervention
  • Provide high quality front of house customer service to all clients ensuring their housing needs are met
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders across the Coffs harbour region to ensure that clients are efficiently supported
  • Ensure clients are treated fairly and respectfully and are fully informed of all decisions affecting them
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure that their housing requirements are met
  • Respond to client and stakeholder queries in a timely manner

 Requirements for Success 

  • Community housing sector experience working with social & affordable housing tenants
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook & Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • HOMES / Pathways / Trim experience is preferred, training will be provided 
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and priorotisation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Open and flexible to a fast paced and changing work load
  • Dedication and commitment to clients and the ability to actively listen
  • Current Drivers’ License, WWCC are essential
  • Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to gain one
