Aboriginal Health Worker
An exciting opportunity exists for an Aboriginal Community Health Worker at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick in the Department of Community Child Health to commence as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing support to existing community services and programs aimed at enhancing the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children. Training and mentorship will be provided to the successful applicant to enhance their skills in running community programs addressing child health. Key responsibilities include (1)providing assistance to program staff in planning, delivery and evaluation of community programs (2) promoting dissemination of service and health promotion information about existing services and programs (3) working with a multidisciplinary team to support and meet the needs of Aboriginal children and their families. This position is Temporary Full Time up to 30/06/2018 and is classified as an Aboriginal Health Worker. |
