About You
The Coordinator, Academic Services is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of academic and student administrative support and advice to staff and students across the School's disciplines. The main function of the role is to coordinate tasks and administrative staff, in collaboration with a second Coordinator, Academic Services and the Manager, Academic Services. In addition, the role is responsible for handling more complex processes and tasks within the team.
 
The role provides an excellent level of service and support to staff and students. As a senior administrator, the Coordinator, Academic Services is responsible for leading and mentoring other administrative staff by exercising initiative, judgment and delegation, where appropriate, to contribute to an efficient, effective and collegial team capable of meeting the School's needs.
 
To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:
* Proven initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently to quickly extract priority issues and take action without specific direction where appropriate.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks within conflicting deadlines.
* Demonstrated high level of computer literacy including the ability to coach and train others, as well as a demonstrated ability to quickly gain new IT skills. Systems preferred include Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel) and databases (RMIT SAMS experience highly regarded).
* Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately to sensitive information and situations.
* Capacity to promote and encourage a harmonious work environment.
