About the role
The role is responsible for handling data requests to extract data and generate reports to support the University’s Advancement programs. Generated data sets and reports are utilised by the business to profile and segment alumni and donors, measure the performance of past program activity and assess the feasibility of future activity.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, segmentation rules to define data specifications
- Write queries, procedures to generate data extracts and reports using CRM and other data repositories as per the defined requirements
- Provide support to Advancement operations team to upload and maintain data
- Troubleshoot, bug fix and enhance data views used for reporting
- Maintain data integrity, consistency and make data quality recommendations to improve reporting outcomes
- Support BI consultants/developers to develop analytical reports that shows trends, patterns, correlations and outliers
Experience and skills required
You possess Master Practitioner level experience in data querying and manipulation, with excellent PL SQL skills in an Oracle environment.
- Expert in writing complex SQL queries
- Solid experience with Oracle views, stored procedures and packages
- Experienced in profiling, extraction, manipulation of data for reporting and market segmentation purposes
Previous experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
- Any Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools such as Microsoft BI, COGNOS or Oracle BI
- Data Visualisations using Power BI or Tableau
- Data Analytics – Predictive modelling
Experience in the not-for-profit, fundraising or education sector, will be highly regarded.
