About the Role
Darebin City Council's Creative Culture and Events department has an opportunity for an experienced arts leader to join the team.
The Arts Collection Coordinator provides clear and inspiring leadership and coordination in the development and delivery of Council’s distinct and iconic art gallery and art collections based at the Bundoora Homestead Art Centre.
The role is accountable for innovative and inclusive leadership and management of visual art services to the Darebin community. The role oversees three core business objectives: gallery operations, exhibitions and programs and business development
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a leadership or managerial position at a public gallery, museum or other arts and cultural facility
- Demonstrated experience in developing an innovative and engaging program of exhibitions or arts events
- Tertiary qualifications in Art History, Museum Studies, Arts Management or other relevant academic discipline is desirable
