About Careers and Employability
The Careers and Employability team and service support students to build, transfer and translate university learning, skills and other experiences into employability learning and work-related and opportunities.
About the role
As the Careers & Employability Officer (Industry), you will develop and implement both new and existing content and programs, working within the Careers & Employability services portfolio in the provision of industry engagement offerings. Your goal will be to connect students and organisations for awareness and preparation of employment opportunities via jobs board management, targeted communications, on-campus industry events and digital content. Working with key stakeholders, particularly industry recruiters, will be a focus of yours.
Collaboratively, you will work cross-functionally with the Careers & Employability Advisors and Digital Service teams on integrated program and service delivery.
About you
You are a team player who also has the capacity to working independently – demonstrating initiative and self-motivation. You have excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple demands, prioritise tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
You will have:
- A degree in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of current graduate recruitment practices and labour market trends.
- Demonstrated experience in a student service environment with operational knowledge of student program delivery.
- Strong computer literacy skills and demonstrated information technology capabilities with a large range of software, including Microsoft Office suite, databases, email and web management; with the capacity to quickly learn new systems.
