About the College
The College of Design and Social Context (DSC) incorporates the fields of art, communication, design, education, humanities, property and social sciences.
The College has more than 21,000 students and a team surpassing 1000 dedicated academics and teachers. About the Role
This role is responsible for providing high quality support to the Public Engagement & Communications Officer within the Social Global Studies Centre. This position will contribute to the planning and execution of communications, campaigns and events within the college.
Key Responsibilities
* Write, review and edit content for external audiences across a number of channels, including social media, newsletters and websites.
* Assist with media monitoring and summaries for distribution to relevant stakeholders.
* Handle multiple projects/assignments concurrently, maintaining a high standard of work at all times.
To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and work in an environment which requires flexibility and collaborative decision making to achieve deadlines
* Experience with social media content creation and scheduling tools
* Experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp.
* Experience with WordPress or similar website CMS.
* Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator is advantageous but not essential.
