About You

The Compliance Manager – Enterprise is responsible for providing extensive support and advice in the design, development and implementation of enterprise compliance management initiatives to give effect to the RMIT compliance framework- working directly with stakeholders to influence a coordinated approach to compliance management across the RMIT Group. This role will also provide high level advice and compliance oversight across the University on emerging compliance obligations impacting RMIT operations.
To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

* Extensive experience in an enterpr
ise compliance or governance role
* Knowledge and practical experience of regulatory and industry standards for compliance management systems and experience in designing, implementing and/or carrying out compliance management initiatives.
* Highly developed diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and opportunities and to drive practical creative solutions to implementation.
* Excellent interpersonal communication, influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate across a broad audience in complex and often challenging contexts.
* Highly developed project management, report writing and training skills.
* Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and to influence stakeholders.

About the Portfolio
The Finance and Governance portfolio partners with other areas of the university in achieving the organi
sations objectives, by strategically orienting its provision of: financial; legal; analytics; risk; compliance assurance; and secretarial services.
The Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk and Regulation function provides strategic and operational guidance and support to RMIT on the development, implementation, monitoring and review of frameworks to manage compliance in operational areas; undertakes activities to monitor and improve compliance performance and culture throughout the RMIT Group and to provide compliance assurance to senior executive staff and the University's Council. The management of RMIT Privacy compliance sits with this function.
