About the role /College
The newly formed Centre for Academic Quality and Enhancement sits within the Education Portfolio under the direction of the Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor Education, Quality & Enhancement. The Centre and its operations supports consistency in design and direction across RMIT University to support the compliance and continuous improvement of all accredited programs and products, enhancing our student and staff experience.

The Centre partners and collaborates with RMIT Colleges/Schools and other portfolios to support staff across the University to embedded culture of academic quality and compliance.

The Director, Quality and Enhancement will report to the Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor Education, Quality & Enhancement and will be part of the leadership team, accountable for interpreting academic quality standards and processes.

The Director provides academic and tactical leadership for staff within the Centre in line with external frameworks, including TEQSA, ASQA, VRQA, and VCAA. The Director will also play both a strategic and operational role with responsibility for implementing RMIT University's future state academic quality model by overseeing the implementation of comprehensive systems and processes.

The incumbent will lead a team of Business Partners, work with senior stakeholders, Colleges, Schools and other Portfolios to build best practice in Academic Quality and Enhancement in the implementation of the Centre's strategic direction ensuring alignment with the Universities strategic goals.

About you
As a trusted senior Academic you will lead the Academic Quality Team for the Centre for Academic Quality and Enhancement. You will possess outstanding analytical, leadership and stakeholder management skills as the scope and complexity of the position is significant. You will have a wide network of established relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders that can be leveraged to enhance the standing of the Centre and the University.

To be successful in this role you will have:
* Extensive experience in academic leadership and change management in a university setting.
* Ability to drive enterprise-wide academic compliance and quality frameworks. Experience building compliance functions.
* Proven track record in managing financial sustainability, infrastructure and operational needs and practices of an academic unit, with the ability to set and achieve performance targets.
* Superior influencing skills to drive investment and participation from the University's Schools, Colleges and Portfolios in pursuit of the Centre's mission to build best practice and ensure consistent compliant and quality practice across RMIT operations.

Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications, including PhD, in any educational field with knowledge and achievements that meet RMIT's academic appointment criteria.
