ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for Aboriginal Grants Officers to process, assess, determine and administer applications/extensions for grants of aid within policy, guidelines and delegations to meet client service and Legal Aid NSW standards and benchmarks.

The successful applicant will have excellent customer service skills, well developed attention to detail, and ability to cope in a high volume, fast paced environment.

• current resume / curriculum vitae (CV) (maximum 5 pages)

• cover letter (maximum 2 pages) responding to the following two questions:

 

1. Provide examples of how you maintain full knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and processes in the workplace?

2. Give an example of when in a team a new policy or process was implemented that impacted on the team. Demonstrate how you, as a team member, contributed to its implementation.

The selection process will include a range of comparative assessment techniques to assist in determining capability and suitability for the role.

This recruitment will be used to create a talent pool which may be used to fill ongoing, temporary or casual vacancies of similar role descriptions within the organisation as they arise over the next 12 months. A talent pool is a group of candidates who have undergone comparative assessment and have been assessed as capable for this role or similar roles for a period of 12 months.
