The Role

The Defence Graduate and Entry Level Program Directorate supports organisational workforce capability through the management of Defence’s early career programs. Defence’s graduate and entry level programs deliver a diverse and skilled talent pool to support critical and emerging workforce demands and strengthen our people capability.

The Directorate also delivers the Whole of Government Indigenous Graduate Program supporting two Indigenous Entry Level Programs – the Indigenous Apprenticeship and Indigenous Government Development Programs, led by the Services Australia and Department of Education, Skills and Employment. These programs align with the Commonwealth Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workforce Strategy 2020-2024, to expand and improve Indigenous Graduate recruitment and contribute towards Defence’s Cultural Reform Priorities for 2017-2022..

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working within an Indigenous engagement and/or employment environment. You will have a passion to support others, connect with community and build culturally safe work environments for current and future Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander personnel.
