About You
Reporting to the Associate Director, Programs and Delivery, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives aligned to new programs within the College of Vocational Education. You will work to support the five Industry Clusters within the College to conceptualise, design, develop and implement new programs, with a clear focus on growth and impact across the sector.
You will be a highly skilled educational leader and manager, who has demonstrated excellence in academic leadership and developing strategic directions. You will be involved in negotiating and collaborating with Industry, Government and other stakeholders on matters that have significant, long term, operational impact.
Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of projects, and cross-functional initiatives, managing the end to end operational requirements required to set up new programs and supporting capability planning to build capacity in new programs areas.
Additionally, you will need to ensure that programs are compliant to all University requirements and regulatory specifications, and build strong relationships with teaching, technical support and administration staff.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
* Demonstrated ability to create and lead strategic projects from concept to business as usual, using contemporary leadership skills that effectively empower and motivate key stakeholders.
* Demonstrated educational leadership experience and experience in operational management, planning cycles, financial management and continuous improvement processes.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships and action agreed outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate, facilitate and present to varied audiences.
* Ability to critically analyse information and develop commercially viable proposals and recommendations to senior leaders and implement initiatives under minimal supervision.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the vocational education and training sector and the requirements of quality and compliance related to programs.
* Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete and professional manner.
* Demonstrated experience within an Educational institution; Vocational Education experience advantageous.
* An understanding of government funding models and executing project funding is highly desirable.
