About the Role

We have a unique opportunity for an Operations Manager to lead and support the service delivery and growth of community-based out of home care, NDIS customer support and aged care programs.

This role will suit someone who is highly motivated, strategic and able to quickly grasp and respond to local needs. You will use your business acumen and interpersonal skills to engage and work with multiple stakeholders, as well as promote LWB as a quality service provider. You will be a versatile and proficient senior manager leveraging expertise in either child protection, disability or aged care support services. You will have a proven ability to communicate effectively, build positive relationships, motivate and lead workforces to successfully deliver and achieve positive outcomes for clients.

Skills & Experience

• Adeptly lead, motivate, develop and direct the activities for a multi-disciplinary team of over 80 employees
• Be innovative and passionate about working within a person centred framework that supports everyone to achieve his or her full potential
• Be committed to improving outcomes and closing the gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
• Provide a consistent standard of quality service delivery in accordance with internal policy and procedures and by applying the Human Services Quality Framework
• Identify and manage risks and challenges arising in the course of service management
• Promote and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the wider Community
• Support and promote the work of Life Without Barriers, maintaining a positive image of the organisation at all times
• Manage the business units with accountability for funding, strategic planning, reports, contract management, budget submissions and ongoing financial business analysis
• Implement quality assurance systems to monitor compliance and develop continuous improvement
• Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Services or similar

Desirable
• Experience in the Welfare or Community sector
• Experience with and knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
