About You

Reporting to the Associate Director, Learning Technologies, you will be responsible for project coordination functions as part of digital learning uplift (learning technologies) within the ISRF initiative across RMIT. This includes creating and maintaining initiative documentation, coordinating project socialisation activities as part of a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining project pages from within Confluence/Jira and contributing to agile practices as part of fortnightly sprints and quarterly planning.

Working closely with the ADLT and other groups across RMIT, you will straddle the digital (student) experience domains in a global context, harnessing new technologies as part of delivery, while supporting International Students returning to Australia as part of a wider at-scale initiative.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Extensive experience in a similar role (Digital Project Officer/Assistant, Account Management or Digital Production).
* Demonstrated experience in an Agile organisation (Particularly SCRUMban).
* Experience working with project management software (Atlassian suite preferred).
* Experience coordinating digital initiatives for large clients or in a large organisation with established governance processes.
* Experience working with a Learning Management System (preferably Canvas) and other learning technologies.
* Experience working with students in a Higher Education context.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Within your team, you act as a specialist, leading projects and advising other staff. You will have a degree in Library and Information Services or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. You will have strong experience in a library acquisitions environment, preferably with the Alma Library System. You will be a problem solver with a highly analytical mind. You are passionate about your work and knowledgeable about broader trends in library collections work.

Position Summary
The role of Senior Librarian, Monographs and Digital Collections deals with the management and purchase of materials in all formats. This role includes undertaking work of a higher degree of complexity such as problem solving or researching and piloting new workflows. This role supports the Senior Coordinator in leading projects, training staff, and knowledge sharing.

The role may also be required to work across the Library on projects and programs of work.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Degree in Library and Information Services or equivalent with at least 4 years relevant experience is essential.
* Eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) is desirable.
* Well-developed knowledge of using automated Library systems for acquisitions, electronic resources, and analysis, preferably using the Alma Library System. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, FTP and software packages used to manipulate bibliographic and associated records. Strong skills in using Excel to manipulate large data sets.
* Demonstrated problem solving skills, including critical analysis and evaluation of process and emerging practice
* Proven record of adopting a flexible approach to work and adapting to a constantly changing work environment.
* Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communications skills including the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated focus on providing an excellent customer experience.
* Proven experience in the management of metadata using current industry description standards. and schemas for Library resources in all formats, preferably in an academic library and understanding of relevant data formats and data migration relevant to Library Collections.
* Demonstrated strength in identifying opportunities for improvement focussing on team goals.

The primary focus of your role will be providing support the Defence Materials Technology Centre (DMTC) on Industry Capability Development (ICD) activities particularly through working with small to medium enterprises to take up Industry 4.0 technologies to improve their business.

Your key accountabilities in the role will include:

* Support the ICD team to deliver the ICD projects outcomes, including but not limited to, technical consulting activities, developing software, and configuring hardware to support the program participants as well as helping to create resources for the use of the ICD project

* Develop and monitor online "Factory in a Box" (FIAB) resources on Confluence including creating demonstration videos and carrying out project implementation tasks

* Present on Industry 4.0 theory and the "Smart Enough Factory" (SEF) concept at SEF workshops.

* Provide guidance on appropriate hardware and software for SEF participants' FIAB implementation

* Provide support for the development of FIAB dashboards and provide technical support to SEF participants

* Provide input into Project cyber security analysis and implementation relevant to the use of FIAB

* Provide supervision to postgraduate research projects related to digital twin development

* Provide supervision to research activities related to sensors and networking

* Support Business Development activities (attending meetings, presenting on FIAB development etc) and attend weekly project team meetings

* Undertake teaching duties up to 20% of fulltime load, including course co-ordination, delivery and supporting practicals

* Provide research guidance to postgraduate students and other research fellows associated with this area of research and building associated infrastructure

* Undertake a range of administrative functions associated with the research project he/she is undertaking

About You

To be successful for the role, you will have:

* Demonstrated ability to carry out high quality basic and applied research in the area of industrial automation particularly the practical application of industry 4.0 technologies.

* A high level of knowledge of industry 4.0 technologies including the internet of things, cyber-physical systems, and sensor technology.

* Ability to work closely with industry to develop impactful solutions.

* A demonstrated capacity to think laterally and use innovative approaches to solve complex engineering problems.

* Ability to clearly communicate research approaches, concepts, and outcomes.

* Ability to work effectively as a team member.

* Demonstrated experience in project management.

* Proven record of journal publications in a research field relevant to the position.

* Understanding of and commitment to financial, governance and quality management systems within a university

Qualifications

Mandatory:

* PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Manufacturing, or similar Engineering disciplines

* Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check

About the role

As our National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communications Specialist, you will work with a broad range of internal stakeholders to ensure that Red Cross communications uphold our brand, values and behaviours.

You will work with program and service managers to identify simple, clear and compelling ways to talk about their work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

You will work with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership Group and other stakeholders. Your work will help communicate with Red Cross people (staff, volunteers, members, donors, clients, stakeholders). Your work will help build understanding of our Reconciliation Action Plan, take action to achieve it, and highlight the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, members, volunteers, clients.
