About You
The Admissions and Scholarships Assistant will contribute to providing consistent, reliable and timely service and advice relating to admissions and scholarships to a broad range of key stakeholders. This involves assisting with managing the team's inquiries and ensuring that application results are given on schedule.

As a successful candidate, you will also provide high-level general scholarship administrative support to staff within graduate research portfolio as required ensuring the efficient and effective provision of all services.

Excellent problem-solving, communication and working under pressure skills are required for this position. In addition, your can-do attitude, accuracy and flexibility, along with the interest to continue learning and the ability to establish connections, will be critical to your success in this vital function, as you will be interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and at least 2 years subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination or relevant experience and/or education/training
* Proven track record supporting the successful delivery of change, quality improvement and project initiatives in a challenging and dynamic environment.
* Demonstrated subject matter knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
* Experience in supporting high-performing customer-focused teams to deliver to a range of clients.
* Highly motivated, customer-focused and proactive with highly developed organisational and time management skills and the ability to handle various and multiple functions simultaneously and under pressure.
* High-level computer literacy – word processing, presentation software, email, internet and correspondence management databases and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new IT environments.

Lecturer, Indigenous Curriculum

Deakin’s Faculty of Health is recognised in Australia and internationally for its teaching, training, research and service to its communities. Working as part the School of Health and Social Development (HSD), the Lecturer, Indigenous Curriculum will work with team members in the School to embed Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander knowledges into curricula. Specifically, the lecturer will support academics to build the understanding and capability of pre-service health professionals in relation to unique Indigenous health issues; building capability to develop understanding and cultural responsiveness to provide appropriate health services to Indigenous Australians; and contributing cross-critical connections to Indigenous Knowledges.

The successful applicant will guide the development of teaching and learning materials and resources that are culturally appropriate to Australian First Nations People for incorporation into the School’s diverse suite of teaching programs. The appointee will also promote and support the School and maintain links and partnerships with relevant academic, industry, professional and community organisations, especially those providing health and social support to Aboriginal People in the south and western regions of Victoria.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership within the School of HSD that is consistent with the University’s principles of teaching, learning and the student experience
  • Work with HSD team members to embed Indigenous Knowledges into HSD curricula
  • Work with the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Innovation, NIKERI and the GLO8 team
  • Work in partnership with other departments and teams within Deakin University
  • Provide training and support to HSD academics and professional staff
  • Develop learning resources that support academics to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges into their teaching and learning activities
  • Foster teaching and learning practices that are flexible, student centred and accessible, utilising appropriate technology
  • Participate with colleagues in developing and maintaining links and partnerships with industry and the wider community
  • Undertake appropriate administrative tasks

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander curriculum development and design
  • Knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and contemporary issues
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
  • Capacity to contribute to leadership of teaching, research and/or administration

About the Organisation

The Central Land Council (CLC) is the Commonwealth Government statutory authority for the southern half of the Northern Territory – covering an area of almost 770,000 square kilometres. Your New Role

As our newest Human Resources Advisor, you will perform a range of human resources functions, with an emphasis on recruitment and HR administration.

This is a busy and diverse role, where no two days will look the same. You will manage a portfolio of internal clients right through Central Australia, advising and managing their HR needs.

You will also get the opportunity to travel periodically throughout Central Australia. You will spend most of your time in Alice Springs, but you will travel remotely to conduct inspections or coordinate training. You may also have the opportunity to travel to complete HR training to help you enhance your skills. 

Core duties:

  • Recruitment: Coordinate recruitment activities (end to end process)
  • Onboarding: Coordinate and facilitate mainstream new employee/induction and onboarding processes.
  • HR Partnering: With guidance from the HR Coordinator, work with allocated sections to provide employee life cycle support, employee contract management and performance management actions, including disciplinary processes.
  • HR Advice: Liase with managers across the organisation to ensure alignment of HR practices with regulatory, legislative and organisational requirements. Provide advice and support to employees, including policy and procedure application, EA, performance management, grievances and complaints handling.

About You

The Research Fellow will work with research teams and partnerships in the School and Research Institutes. The Research Fellow is required to undertake research activities in line with the University's research strategy. The position will carry out independent and/or team research which has a significant impact in the area of their specialisation and be acknowledged at a national level as being influential in expanding the knowledge of their relevant discipline.

This position is funded by the Victorian Government through Victorian Higher Education State Investment Fund (VEHSIF) – Pool 2 (competitive round). The project will establish Electric Vehicle (EV) living lab at RMIT city campus. Through applied research projects that test EV technologies, study their technical and legal-economic impact on the electricity grid, prices and broader system, the lab will provide a unique capability that supports Victoria and Australia in understanding the complex economic, legal, environmental and engineering aspects of public and private fleet electrification. The project is designed to support and inform future policy towards Victoria's net zero emission targets in the transport sector, proactively addressing both likely and unforeseen challenges as EVs are adopted at accelerated rates in both public and private sectors.The Research Fellow's role is primarily to plan, develop and engage in high quality research projects that are aligned with the
University's research focus areas.

The Research Fellow will embed their research expertise into the life of the School through the development of high-quality, productivity-driven research networks across RMIT and with local and national, internal and external partners. Research Fellows will be expected to engage in high quality research projects, to achieve success in attracting research funding and to produce high quality outputs.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

* Demonstrated research track record in AI and machine learning (previous experience in analysing mobility-related related is desirable).

* Publications in top-tier conferences and journals relevant to AI, machine learning, traffic engineering and/or mobility.

* Demonstrate ability to clearly communicate research results, concepts and knowledge.

* Demonstrated initiative in research and problem solving.

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a research team and independently when required, to meet project outcomes and milestones

FORWARD – The Centre for Future Skills & Workforce Transformation

FORWARD, The Centre for Future Skills and Workforce Transformation is a new venture supported by the Victorian Government's Higher Education State Investment Fund and RMIT's College of Vocational Education. It works with partners across RMIT's ecosystem of colleges and schools and with external workforce partners on innovative workforce upskilling and reskilling projects.

About You

As a Development Partner, you will work with the director of FORWARD to help deliver a vision of workforce development, upskilling, re-skilling and research collaboration at the worker, employer and industry sector levels.

Working as part of a highly engaged agile team, these roles will involve working with RMIT's knowledge and skills ecosystem and with external stakeholders, including employers and government.

FORWARD values outcomes over rigid ways of working and our Development Partners will be expected to negotiate their portfolio of activities, working flexibly and with purpose in an Agile delivery framework that prioritises early and consistent delivery of value, creativity, authentic collaboration and accountability.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* A background in project management, commercial research, workforce development, learning and development, human resources or technology and strategy.

* Demonstrated ability to understand complex problems, work flexibly and maintain intellectual curiosity for new ideas and approaches.

* Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, experience of Agile principles, and skills in the use of, or ability to understand quickly, modern team communication tools like Slack and Discord, and design tools like Figma.

* Highly developed organizational and analytical skills and a proven ability to work independently in a highly collaborative team environment.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with capacity to liaise with a variety of stakeholders

* A proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
