Further you will:

Ensure cyclic menus are followed / adhered to.
Provide day to day support and guidance to all kitchen staff
Ensure all facilities are managed in line with HACPP requirements
Ensure all areas of the kitchen are maintained in a clean and presentable condition
Ensure all meal services are in line with defence requirements
Skills and Experience
Be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a defence security clearance
Minimum 1 year experience in a large commercial kitchen
Commercial cookery certificate III or equivalent
Good understanding of HACCP
Valid Senior First Aid Certificate

Position Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Commercial, Accounting Finance
  • CPA, CA, CIA (also desired CISA, CRMA)
  • Experience with use of ACL or IDEA data mining tools preferable
  • Technical understanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes/areas/functions and project management reviews
  • High level IT audit skills preferable
  • Big 4 experience and/or extensive industry experience with knowledge of accounting, risk management, governance and internal control areas
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in undertaking and managing investigations preferable

This role as the Girls at the Centre Girls Coach will involve being a model and mentor as you provide coaching and support to not only the girls that are part of the program but also their families.
 
The program is being delivered through Mount Austin High School in Wagga Wagga, a comprehensive public high school with 500 students including 220 Aboriginal students. The school has a strong cultural program in partnership with an intense focus on teaching and learning; and also prioritises technology, student welfare, and community partnerships.

The opportunity
The Director, Strategy leads the delivery of strategic planning and strategic initiatives of NSWALC across a diverse policy portfolio including Aboriginal Land Agreements and amendments to the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983.
The position provides high-level strategic advice to the Council, CEO and the Executive, and is responsible for developing and maintaining influential relationships with Ministers, Parliamentarians and senior government officers as well as other relevant non-government agencies and affiliated groups.
 

Leading a small team, the Director, Strategy will:
 

  • Lead complex, high level and high value negotiations for the return of land to Aboriginal Land Councils, the resolution of Aboriginal land claims and other matters through Aboriginal Land Agreements with the NSW Government, local government, industry bodies, Aboriginal organisations and Native Title groups;
  • Lead the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation and review of NSWALC policies in relation to amendments to the Aboriginal Land Rights Act to ensure alignment with the Council's strategic direction and objectives;
  • Develop and maintain influential relationships with Ministers, Parliamentarians and senior government officers, as well as other relevant non-government agencies, stakeholders and affiliated groups;
  • Represent NSWALC at the highest levels of Government, community and key external stakeholders in consultations and negotiations to optimise outcomes for Aboriginal Land Rights.

 

To be successful in this role, the Director, Strategy will need to have:

  • Advanced and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the cultural practices, values and issues affecting Aboriginal people and communities in today's society.
  • Demonstrated commitment and capacity to promote the rights and interests of Aboriginal people.
  • Demonstrated high understanding of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act, related regulations and policies, and proven advanced ability to work in a strong regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated advanced policy and political analysis and proven ability to respond to significant complex challenges.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, including proven advanced negotiation and influencing skills, and advanced capacity to work effectively with a broad range of organisations at a senior level including government departments, Aboriginal organisations, other community sector organisations and industry groups.

About the Opportunity
With 5 clinics, over 20 GPs and planned growth in the near future, Danila Dilba now has an exciting leadership opportunity for a Clinical Director to join their team, based in Darwin. This is a full-time position commencing 1st July, 2017 on a 3 year contract, with an option to renew. 

As an integral part of the senior leadership team and reporting to the CEO, the Clinical Director is primarily responsible for ensuring services and day-to-day operations of a diverse range of clinical functions are delivered with maximum efficiency and effectiveness and in line with DDHS strategic priorities, policies and procedures. In addition, the Clinical Director plays a key role in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical health services to improve the standard of care and achieve improvements in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes. 

To be successful in this position it is essential that you are a General Practitioner with AHPRA registration and the legal right to live and work in Australia. You will have a demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and their issues and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, Aboriginal history and culture. 

Leading a team of 5 direct reports and overseeing approximately 30 GPs and a total team of more than 100, it is essential that you have extensive strategic and clinical leadership skills at a senior level in accredited healthcare operations, public health or multidisciplinary clinical practices with the ability to manage change, human resources, finances, risks and projects.
