Principal Home Lending Officers (4 positions): Unique opportunity to make a difference

Salary: $81,920 – $86,866 plus 15.4% superannuation

Location: Melbourne, Townsville, Sydney, Brisbane, Wagga Wagga or Perth
We are seeking Principal Home Lending Officers to join Indigenous Business Australia’s (IBA’s) Indigenous Home Ownership (IHO) Program Loan Origination team in our Melbourne, Townsville, Sydney, Brisbane, Wagga Wagga or Perth our Service Delivery Unit (SDU).

The IHO Program works to support and enable IBA’s vision for a nation in which the First Australians are economically independent and an integral part of the economy. IBA serves, partners and invests with Indigenous Australians who want to own their future – it’s why we exist!

We provide financial products and services, and we go further: we invest in people, places and ideas that are ready. We assist Indigenous Australians to buy their own homes, own their businesses and invest in commercial ventures that provide strong financial returns and can also provide employment, training and supply chain opportunities. 

As a Principal Home Lending Officer, you will lead a small team assisting our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers to achieve their home ownership goals. This is a rewarding role, you will work closely with our customers helping to prepare them for home ownership from their initial enquiry through to loan application, assessment, loan scenario/servicing development, pre-approval/approval and settlement. You will provide loan after-care support to borrowers, supporting them all throughout the home ownership journey.
To succeed in this role, you will be committed to IBA’s vision, be an enthusiastic team member who will champion the IHO program with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate relevant home or business lending experience and demonstrate a strong work ethic and align with IBA’s values – Invested, Informed, Responsive, Respected and Connected. You will also require the ability to provide excellent customer service and have the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders customers.
