About You
As a Program Coordinator – Aged Care & Disability, you will coordinate teaching resources, provide student support in the relevant VE cluster and organise processes and activities in assisting staff in updating teaching materials and contextualising to specific cohorts as required. Furthermore, you will support the Program Manager in ensuring programs meet regulatory compliance and quality requirements, manage students at risk, and assist with timetables and staff inductions as required.
As directed by the Program Manager, the Coordinator will provide well-being support to students, manage learning plans, and successfully connect with professionals from various VE clusters and service areas and external organisations. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the course's vocational competency is provided, assessed, and maintained.
Your strong communication and interpersonal skills and your experience in teaching, working with students and coordinating administrative processes will ensure your success in this role.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
* Minimum qualifications as per the current Enterprise Agreement and current VET sector regulatory requirements, including vocational competency, vocational currency, and industry currency. This includes a Diploma of Vocational Education or equivalent.
* Mandatory current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* Educational leadership skills that effectively promote teaching and learning.
* Understanding of the students at risk process, special consideration process and equivalent learning and assessment strategies.
* Evidence of using effective, innovative and flexible teaching methods and teaching experience in the related cluster.
* Skills and expertise in competency-based assessment.
* Qualifications and experience in the aged care, disability and/or community services area and significant current knowledge of the sector.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the vocational education and training sector and the training requirements of relevant industries related to Quality Assurance processes for TESQA and ASQA in compliance with programs.
