The Organisation
  
Blue Knot Foundation (BKF) is the National Centre of Excellence for Complex Trauma, empowering recovery and building resilience for adults impacted by complex trauma.   
  
With funding from the Department of Social Services (DSS), BKF has been approached to operate the Counselling and Referral Line for people affected by the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.  This is a unique opportunity to play a part in significant social change.
  
The service will operate seven days a week and will provide counselling, support and referral services to people impacted by the Disability Royal Commission (DRC), including survivors, guardians, family members, carers, advocates and other people affected by the DRC.

The Role
  
This position involves the development and nurturing of an ongoing collaborative relationship with the DRC and other key stakeholders including the funder, other relevant federal government departments, disability and other support services and teams within BKF. 
  
You will ensure the implementation and delivery of an optimal wrap around service for all stakeholders requiring information, support or referral for people who are engaging with or affected by the DRC.  Additionally you will:

  • Develop plans to address the business and stakeholder needs of the DRC and callers
  • Meet regularly with DSS to ensure contract terms are met
  • Be the contact point for complaints and make recommendations for quality improvement
  • Collaborate with the counselling and referral teams to optimally address callers’ needs
