About You
The Research Assistant will work with a larger research team. The Research Assistant is required to undertake research activities in line with the project scope. The position will carry out independent and/or team research. The Research Assistant's role is primarily to plan and undertake high quality research to address a specific set of research questions and objects as defined by the project scope.
To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:
* Demonstrated knowledge of quality/performance characteristics of new and existing housing in Australia including opportunities for improvement through retrofit of existing housing.
* Demonstrated knowledge of housing quality/performance assessment tools.
* Evidence of being able to undertake quality literature reviews.
* Ability to identify and analyse large data sets relating to housing quality/performance.
* Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.
* Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable attributes include
* Experience of conducting semi-structured interviews with industry and/or policy stakeholders.
* Knowledge of housing quality/performance of international housing.
* Ability to undertake cost-benefit analysis.
Essential Qualifications
Qualification in the relevant discipline area and have commenced or enrolled to commence their PhD.
