The Role: ROM Electrical Engineer & ROM Mechanical Engineer, Narrabri NSW 

An opportunity has become available for a run of mine (ROM) Electrical Engineer and a (ROM) Mechanical Engineer to join our Narrabri Underground team. You will be accountable for providing support to the Mining Engineering Services team whilst working in an underground longwall coal mine.

Reporting to the Manager Electrical Engineering and Manager Mechanical Engineering respectively, these roles are required to:

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the various Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering functions over a mine or large industrial site and the associated management plans
  • Be proficient with Project Planning tools
  • Carry out a variety of  Engineering tasks and cover related roles during employee absences
  • Develop, implement and manage projects as required
  • Actively participate as a member of the Narrabri Underground and Surface Operations team
  • It would be an advantage to have working knowledge of an underground coal mine, and u/g surface functions, however this is not essential
