As part of the Chancellery, Strategy and Culture includes, among others, University Governance; Strategy, Planning and Performance; Marketing and Communications.
The Engagement and Partnerships Department is structured to be a collaborative and agile team that cultivates relationships, co-develops strategy, co-delivers programs and evaluates the impact of its engagement and partnerships activities with University Divisions and external partners.
About the role
As the Senior Adviser, Engagement and Partnerships, you will provide high level advice, analysis and thinking that will inform place-based engagement and partnerships strategy, implementation and reporting. You will engage and connect University and external partners on City of Melbourne relations and collaboration to achieve outcomes. You will advise the Director, Engagement and Partnerships and senior managers team and Chancellery Strategy and Culture and divisions.
About you
You will bring to the role your highly developed planning, conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also have the ability to develop strategy and policy, provide innovative solutions to problems and to lead, design and manage projects and initiatives.
You will further have:
- An undergraduate degree and significant relevant experience. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Advanced written communication skills, capable of distilling ideas and communicating these persuasively.
- Advanced research skills, proficient at undertaking literature reviews, synthesising perspectives and making recommendations to guide decision making.
- Strong capacity to work as a collaborative team member, frame and solve problems (collaboratively and autonomously) and to contribute to the organisational development of the department, portfolio and the University as a whole.
