About University Services
University Services comprises of 1,600 professional staff focused on providing client centric and innovative services to the University. The group is providing transformational change, defining and influencing future service enhancements within the University of Melbourne.
About the role
The Senior Collection Development Officer is key in supporting the work of the Collection Development Team Leader by providing excellent customer service and support to the clients of the team.
The role also assumes primary responsibility for coding credit cards used for the purchase of library materials, the purchase of items in all formats particularly rare and speciality items, the loading of files from vendor databases, allocating work and providing direction to other team members, and assisting with training of other team members in these workflows.
About you
– A qualification in a relevant field with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
– Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and numeracy skills
– Demonstrated ability to provide timely and high quality services to internal and external clients
– Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with colleagues
– Proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast paced environment
