About the role
The School of Health offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, work health and safety, and research.

The Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor, Nursing and Health Care role will primarily relate to developing, updating and teaching in the Master of Clinical Nursing (Graduate Entry) program as well as providing a broad leadership role in guiding, supporting and facilitating the ongoing development of culturally respectful and responsive teaching, research and administrative activities within the School.

About you
Reporting to the Deputy Dean, School of Health, you will have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills and an ability to relate well to a diverse range of students. You will have enthusiasm for teaching and learning that is accompanied by a good teaching record and research experience. Finally, you will possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team as well as capability to supervise honours and research postgraduate students

You will:

  • contribute to developing, teaching, coordinating, and moderating courses;
  • undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
  • contribute to the administrative and research activities within the School of Health;
  • participate in team projects and various committee meetings as required; and
  • supervise students undertaking project courses, honours programs and research higher degrees.
