About Engagement and Partnerships
The Engagement and Partnerships department aims to further the University’s academic mission through strategic and focused place-based engagement and partnership initiatives. The department aims to serve the community within and beyond our campuses by harnessing the University’s convening power and academic expertise for purposeful partnerships, outcomes and impact locally and globally.
About the Role
As the Senior Partnerships Adviser, you will provide high level engagement and partnership research, analysis and briefings for the team, internal and external stakeholders and also manage the University of Melbourne and City of Melbourne partnerships. You will work within a small team with colleagues from across the department to support strategic projects and forums, regular programs, communications and strategic briefings.
In a typical week at work, you may:
- Advise senior decision-makers on engagement and partnership models and best practice to further the University’s engagement and partnerships priorities and co-investment opportunities
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of the strategic partnership with the City of Melbourne
- Prepare presentations, events and written outputs to communicate purposefully and persuasively with partners, stakeholders and wider audiences
About You
You will have a strong ability to work as a collaborative team member, you are open to new ideas and ways of working and energised to achieve results and outcomes. You will also harness the capacity to exercise sound autonomous judgment and to show a high level of initiative, including the capacity formulate, develop and deliver high level briefings, documentation and initiatives.
Ideally, you will further have:
- An undergraduate degree and significant relevant experience. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded
- Advanced written communication skills, capable of distilling ideas and communicating these persuasively
- Highly developed planning, conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide innovative solutions to problems and to lead, design and manage projects and initiatives
