ABOUT LEGAL AID NSW

 
Legal Aid NSW is the largest legal aid agency in Australia, comprising of a Central Sydney office and 25 regional offices in metropolitan and regional centres across NSW and a number of specialist services and advice clinics. ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead and manage the day to day activities of the Regional Office to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources and delivery of high quality services that meet the needs of the clients and community.

 

Develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the private profession, legal assistance providers and the courts. Conduct a legal practice as other priorities permit.

 

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
 

• Admission or eligibility for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW 

 

• Ability to provide a valid Practising Certificate upon commencement 

 

• Willingness to undertake a Criminal Record Check and/or working with Children Check

 

• Australian or NZ citizenship or Australian Permanent Resident is an essential requirement of applying for an Ongoing role

1. Identify the two biggest challenges you would face in this role and your strategies for overcoming them.

 

2. How would you effectively monitor service delivery for the whole of the Sutherland Legal Aid office?

The selection process will include a range of comparative assessment techniques to assist in determining capability and suitability for the role.

This recruitment will be used to fill any current vacancies and may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future vacancies that may arise over the next 18 months.
