The role
Lead and inspire emergency services staff and volunteers to drive the implementation of the National Emergency Services Strategy in Victoria – before, during and after emergencies. In this dynamic and fulfilling leadership role, you will manage the delivery of core services and ensure that key initiatives are identified, planned, implemented, and evaluated consistent with Red Cross' Strategy 2020.
 
About you
You're a natural leader, strategic thinker, and relationship builder with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, from local community groups to state government. You will have highly developed organisational, people and financial management skills. Your application will demonstrate your experience in people and program management within emergency or community services, where you have developed the ability to make sound decisions in a high pressure, reactive environment. You will also have a strong understanding of community development approaches, and a genuine passion for building and developing a highly engaged, skilled and diverse volunteer workforce across Victoria.
