About the Program
Partners in Recovery (PIR) is an innovative program directed at supporting people in the community with severe and persistent mental illness and complex needs. PIR will assist and coordinate multiple services and support systems to work in a more collaborative, integrated way so that people with severe and persistent mental illness and complex needs are better supported to access the right service at the right time in their journey to recovery.

Life Without Barriers is a consortium member of Central Adelaide and Hills Partners in Recovery (CAH PIR). Great opportunities exist for cross-sectorial learning and knowledge transfer.

About the Role
We are currently seeking suitably skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in Adelaide as Support Facilitator on a full-time basis until 30/6/2019.

A Support Facilitator is the key representative of the PIR program at the frontline, coordinating the care of consumers and finding solutions to their complex needs, liaising with all stakeholders and providing feedback on the PIR program.

Skills & Experience
The role is suited to an experienced professional with a background in working with clients with complex needs and mental health issues, a commitment to innovation and systems change that results in better outcomes for this target group and for those with a passion and aptitude for strong consumer advocacy.

As a Support Facilitator you will work with consumers applying a person-centred, recovery focused approach. Highly developed interpersonal communication skills will be required, including relationship building, negotiation, advocacy and conflict resolution. Experience working in a culturally sensitive manner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and a willingness to work and train in culturally appropriate approaches; Current Driver Licence.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a DCSI Child Related employment screening and inhouse National Criminal History Record Check.
