ABOUT THE ROLE

Organise professional, effective, efficient and timely conferences under the Family Law Conferencing Program, and as a member of the Family Dispute Resolution Section (FDRS), provide an intake service for the conferencing program which includes contacting all parties and solicitors, informing parties and their solicitors about the conference process, procedures and possible outcomes.

Provide professional leadership and work supervision, including the training of Conference Organisers, allocation of work and ensuring evenness of their workflow, dealing with their queries about complex matters or procedures, and monitoring their clerical procedures and making changes where appropriate.

ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate sound skills and relevant experience in managing a team in a busy and demanding work environment, with team members working in different locations. Experience working in family law or dispute resolution would be an advantage.
You will be able to work collaboratively with management to achieve the stated goals and objectives of the unit, while also providing appropriate and extensive support and guidance to all the members of your team.
You will be a good communicator and have excellent administrative and time management skill. You will also have the ability to contribute to the development of systems and practices for Legal aid DRU and have the ability to work across multiple platforms and applications.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
 
• Willingness to undertake a Criminal Record Check and/or working with Children Check
• Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Resident or hold a valid working visa for temporary vacancies
• Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Resident for ongoing vacancies
