About You

As the Technical Officer, TV Studios you be part of small and cohesive team that assists the Technical Coordinators, TV Studios in delivering an efficient and effective service to students, staff and partners, while maintaining a safe and secure workplace and facility. The Technical Officer is required to present a helpful and professional approach to studio clients, and to be self-motivated to work efficiently and effectively.

The TV Studio facilities are expected to run in alignment with timetabled hours and are expected to operate from 8.30 am to 11.00 pm Monday to Friday, with ad hoc activities outside these hours, and on weekends. The Technical Officer, TV Studios will be required to work within the hours of operation, as negotiated with the Manager, Technical Services and Facilities.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Demonstrated ability to provide quality technical and client support in a digital TV Studio environment;
* An understanding of OHS standards and regulations and their relevant application in a TV Studio environment;
* A sound practical understanding of contemporary TV production methods and broadcast equipment, with an understanding of broadcast IT;
* A strong customer service mindset, with high level verbal and written communication skills;
* Computer literacy as applicable in the TV broadcast and production industry, including experience with contemporary digital production and post-production applications and practices.

Qualifications

* Qualifications in Audio Visual Technology and relevant TV industry experience.
