About Urapuntja Health Service:
Urapuntja Health Service provides services to a population of about 1000 permanent residents who live in 16 homeland communities. A unique health service, Urapuntja delivers an outreach service to all 16 outstation communities every week and the primary clinic is not in the middle of the community.
Urapuntja has been delivering core primary health care services to the community for more than 30 years. The authority of the health board and community members determine how the service works and to this day the health status of our people in Utopia are some of the best in the Northern Territory.

About the Opportunity:
Urapuntja now have a unique opportunity for a full-time Remote Area Nurse / Midwife, to join their dedicated team in Utopia, NT. This is a Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm role, however you will be required to participate in an after-hours on-call and emergency care roster.
Reporting to the Clinic Manager and working within a multidisciplinary team, this role will see you responsible for providing general health care through the assessment and management of a broad range of clinical problems to community members, with a component of midwifery for the small number of patients requiring ante and post natal care.
Please Note:
This is not a clinic-based role! You will be required to travel by 4WD vehicle to provide clinical services to remote outstations on a daily basis.
Urapuntja is seeking a passionate Remote Area Nurse with Midwifery Qualifications, and who is registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Clinical and health promotion skills and knowledge in the areas of STIs, Women's Health and Ante / Post Natal Care will be essential for your success.
