The Role: Safety Advisor (Maules Creek, NSW)

 An outstanding opportunity has become available for a Safety Advisor to join our Maules Creek Operation in NSW. Reporting to the Work Health and Safety Superintendent, this role will be accountable for coordinating, maintaining and enhancing safety and health management processes and systems at the Maules Creek mine and CHPP.

The Safety Advisor is responsible for supporting the superintendent with duties including:

  • Facilitating Risk assessments, various meetings including WHS committee meetings
  • Return to work and rehabilitation of injured workers
  • Employee drug and alcohol testing
  • Supporting ICAM investigations that may arise out of serious incidents
  • Assisting with the implementation of health programs and new WHC safety initiatives
  • Coordination and management of contractors including ensuring adherence to WHC contractor management standards
  • Development and delivery of site wide safety briefs, alerts, notices and toolbox talks
