About the Role

Ensure that the individual needs of our clients are met, whilst maintaining an efficient and safe working environment for clients and staff. This position is on the floor and office based.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination and management of the daily operations of the disability programs;
  • Develop and monitor high quality health care plans for Life Without Barriers clients;
  • Provide supervision and support to Disability Support Workers;
  • The identification and development of community resources that can be used by our clients;
  • Ensuring a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with Life Without Barriers WH&S systems, policies and procedures;
  • Undertaking, with direction from the Program Manager, administrative responsibility for the service;
  • Provide services in accordance with funding agency standards and agreements;
  • Represent the organisation and maintain harmony within the managed services;
  • Undertake rostering of support workers under the direction of the Program Manager;
  • Participate in an on call roster.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree Qualification in Nursing and current registration with AHPRA
  • Certificate IV in Disability or similar
  • Previous experience working within disability services, in particular with individuals who have high support medical needs;
  • Demonstrated leadership attributes;
  • Demonstrated experience of clinical practice in the area of health planning

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
