Aboriginal Trainee Environmental Health Officer

This traineeship is offered in partnership between Coffs Harbour City Council and NSW Health. The role will combine on the job experience with the completion of a Bachelor of Natural Science – Environment & Health through the Western Sydney University. The traineeship will run over a nominal term of 6 year's providing the successful applicant a valuable opportunity to complete a qualification and gain practical on the job experience.

If you are recognised as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander and have an interest in pursuing a career in Environmental Health then this traineeship is a fantastic opportunity.

If you are driven by conquering challenges and want to work with a dynamic and upbeat team, this role is for you. Previous experience in Environmental Health is not necessary; however the candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have the aptitude necessary to enrol in tertiary study. If required a university preparation course may be available for the selected candidate.
