Allwater is seeking a suitably experienced candidate to fulfil the role of Southern Field Coordinator to join the Customer Field Services team based at our Southern Networks Depot at Happy Valley. This role will be responsible for supporting, planning, coordinating and performing Customer Field Services activities for day and afternoon shift teams, including works undertaken on water and wastewater mains repair and construction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Site Supervision, coordinating and directing Allwater construction and maintenance crews and sub-contractors whilst on site to ensure work is completed to standard in a safe and efficient manner
- Operation of water supply mains pipelines and property connections, including liaising with customers and critical customers to ensure outage impacts are minimised
- Carry out water main isolations for reactive and planned works, including location of underground utility services and coordinate documentation with effected utility suppliers
- Attending reported works and assessing the priority and requirement for support services and appropriate skill sets to undertake network repairs and maintenance
- Ensuring planned and reactive work is carried out with regard to accepted work practices, safety and environmental standards, key and specific performance indicators and timelines
- Promoting and driving a passionate customer driven culture by ensuring a strong focus on delivery, execution and the customer
- Operate GIS mapping and works management software to capture required network information
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:
- Experience in a field based project/planning role with a demonstrated ability to successfully liaise with a range of customers and stakeholders
- Ability to maintain a strong safety culture in the workforce
- An energetic and can-do approach to your work
- Excellent communication, numeracy and computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Click/Maximo and Asset Management Systems)
- An ability to execute work in an efficient, well-coordinated manner with a focus on providing a high level of customer service
- An understanding of water/pipeline networks within metropolitan Adelaide and requirements for performing safe works around underground services would be an advantage
- Availability to work an on-call roster, including 2nd level responsibilities and to work overtime on occasions and work across a 7-day on-call roster. Current roster cycle: 2 x weeks day shift followed by 4 x weeks afternoon shift
Key requirements:
- Current unrestricted Australian driver’s license is required
- Verification of qualifications/licenses will be undertaken along with pre-employment medicals and background police checks for all shortlisted candidates.
