We are now accepting applications for an experienced Mechanical Projects Engineer to join our operational team at the Mobil Altona Refinery. This role will ensure Maintenance & Minor Projects activities are technically supported – providing scheduling, quality assurance, maintenance management support and business improvements. This position will see you based at the Mobil Altona refinery, in an ongoing full-time position.

As the successful applicant, some of your core responsibilities will include;

  • Support Projects workgroups – both staff and workforce – in providing a safe, quality, scheduled, cost effective outcome for the Client
  • Assist in the preparation of procedures and work instructions, work packages, work schedules, estimates, equipment & system evaluations and recommend design / work-method modifications
  • Ensure quality specifications are in accordance with company and/or contract requirements
  • Assist with estimation & Project Engineering of Projects works
  • Provide leadership in ensuring each project job is reviewed in accordance with the HSEQ Plan
  • Assist the Technical Services Manager in analysis of the Weekly and Monthly KPI’s
  • Assist with completion of projects identified within the yearly Site Operating Team (“SOT”) Business Plan in order to improve safety, quality, productivity and other benefits.
     
  • Talents & experience you will bring: 
  • Relevant Mechanical Engineer Degree or equivalent 
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role and relevant industry experience 
  • Demonstrated management and organisational skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
  • A consultative and collaborative approach
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders 
  • An ability to work well in a team
