The Opportunity
This position will play a critical role in building the capacity of the Faculty of Science to engage meaningfully with Aboriginal people and communities and to help create and maintain relationships that are reciprocal, delivering mutual benefit and grounded in two-way learning.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Indigenous Development Partner is responsible for promoting an inclusive and supportive environment for Indigenous staff and students. Within this role you will lead on the implementation of key initiatives within the Indigenous Development Strategy with a particular focus on identifying and recruiting Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent and providing career support and development to employees across Science. The position will entail liaison directly with Senior Managers and Faculty Executive to provide specialist advice and to play an influential role in shaping the Faculty’s strategic and business performance.
