The Role
You will be accountable under limited guidance to undertake scientific activities within Defence of considerable complexity. You will manage stakeholder relationships, working in transdisciplinary teams across the science & technology eco-system. You will be a recognised authority in the application of scientific techniques and will be expected to develop innovative techniques as required through collaboration with industry, academia and Government.
You will ensure appropriate application of established principles and will demonstrate science excellence by maintaining professional, science and engineering standards and authenticity. You will have the ability to further develop applications and opportunities from external sources and will contribute to the creative application of existing knowledge.
You will have considerable stakeholder engagement and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop a clear understanding of the methodology and practices to achieve outcomes that delivers benefits for both parties. You will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
About our Team
The Integrated Combat Capability Assessment (ICCA) team deliver warfighting superiority for the Australian Defence Force through assessment and development of combat capability and systems. The team consists of dedicated and highly skilled scientists and engineers who use innovative approaches in the application of modelling, simulation, analysis and experimentation to enhance the combat capability of the integrated joint force. We are flexible, work inclusively and collaboratively, support and communicate openly with each other.
