About Strategy and Culture, Communications and Marketing
The University’s Communications and Marketing function provides strategic, advisory and operational services to support the academic mission and the University strategy. It fosters a culture of best practice and collaboration across the University’s communication and marketing teams and stakeholders and uses data-driven insights to inform decision-making across the University.

About the Role
As the Head of Engagement, Partnerships and Marketing, you will be responsible for provision of strategic and integrated partnerships, engagement and marketing advice to meet the strategic objectives of the Faculty of Arts (FoA) and the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music (FFAM). You  will play a critical role in supporting the transition of partnerships & engagement programs to the new UC&M model and design of new ways of working.

In a typical week at work, you may:

  • Facilitate the development of an integrated divisional marketing communications partnerships and engagement plan to meet cluster strategic objectives and enhance the value of the University Brand in Australia and globally
  • Provide high level strategic marketing communications and partnership management advice to members of the members of the Divisional Executive and University Communications & Marketing leadership team
  • Partner with recruitment and admissions divisional leads to prioritise and deliver recruitment and student engagement strategies in support of cluster strategic objectives

About You
You will have the ability to work and manage ambiguity in your day to day tasks, and you will be able to make strategic decisions in the best interests of the organisation. You will hold strong written and verbal communication skills and you will have a proactive inclination, with the aptitude to take initiative within the team.

Ideally, you will further have:

  • Extensive experience within relevant marketing and communications field and post graduate qualification in marketing, communications, partnership management, business development or a related discipline
  • Direct experience leading and developing teams in higher education sector or related, complex environments
  • Significant experience in the provision of strategic marketing & communications advice and senior executive support in the context of large, complex organisations
