About You
As the Coordinator, Risk Management, you will be responsible for coordinating risk management processes in Work Integrated Learning (WIL) across the university. Working closely with teams from RMIT's Colleges, Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) and Internal Audit Compliance and Risk, you will develop systems to enable checks and balances to improve the quality and consistency of risk management in WIL. This includes discipline-based risk assessments, industry partner due diligence, and student suitability and capability. You will support internal and external stakeholders, assisting with the development of business requirements and improved processes. You will consult closely with other key internal stakeholders such as RMIT WIL academic and professional staff, Learning and Teaching experts, the Legal Services Group, and Internal Audit & Risk Management.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
* Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills with a proven ability to deliver high-quality business support resources (including process maps), with a commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
* Experience in developing effective risk management processes, preferably in the Higher Education sector (although not essential). Experience with compliance and/or health, wellbeing and safety would also be advantageous.
* Proven organisational and project management skills and the ability to develop and analyse business processes and identify gaps and recommend improvements.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills for consulting and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including building and cultivating effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to exercise initiative and to work proactively and with minimal supervision in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment.
* Demonstrated understanding and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation
