This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Coordinator, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of families & children, to join our Children's Contact Service in Port Macquarie & Taree.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Children's Contact Service is a place for parents to engage in safe and friendly change-over and change-back in a relaxed, family atmosphere, in which children from separated families can connect with both parents. This position assists in coordinating the delivery and quality management of the Contact Service.

Key duties for this role includes:

* Assist with the coordination and delivery of the Children's Contact Service
* Prepare staff rosters, schedule and arrange appointments for contact visits and change overs
* Undertake induction, training and provision of ongoing support for the Children's Contact Service staff and students
* Conduct ongoing assessment, case planning, monitoring and review of families through the service
* Develop family case management plans and client goals to instruct case management plans.
* Follow child protection procedures, complete risk assessment and procedures

Along with a Graduate Diploma or Bachelor in psychology/behavioural or social science/ social work/ children's services/ community services or other related field; or, currently working towards a degree, we are looking for strong capabilities in leadership, negotiation and conflict Management, interpersonal skills, communication and relationship skills and ethics.

This position is permanent part time, working 22.5 hours per week. Days and hours of work will be negotiable at interview. This position will require evening work and some weekends, and the availability to be on call.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Relevant Qualifications: Minimum Graduate Diploma or Bachelor in psychology / behavioural or social science / social work / children's services / community services or other related field; or, currently working towards a degree in psychology, social work or related field.

2. Demonstrated experience and skills in:

� working in a Children's Contact Service and/ or with families and children experiencing separation and family breakdown and high levels of family conflict
� one or more areas of clinical work, e.g. counselling, dispute resolution, relationship education, children's services, men's programs, family law etc.
� management experience or demonstrated skills and/or experience to fulfill management responsibilities
� supervision and training experience , recognized supervision training certificate (or willingness to obtain training and gain experience)
� working with families within a case management setting
� managing high parental conflict whilst upholding the best interest of children
� program management
� solutions focused and interpersonal communication skills
� report writing, case notes, data collection and data entry
� liaising with the community and building local networks
� dealing with Family Law Court procedures
� working with online systems and technology, such as a CRM (Client Relationship Management) System, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of:

� child development, child protection and family violence issues
� the existing framework of the Children's Contact Service, and a demonstrated capacity to work within it

About You
As a Casual Sessional within EFM, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the School. You will participate in the School's continuing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including on-line delivery methods) and methods of students' assessment. You will interact with students, RMIT teaching and administration staff. Finance
The courses offered by the Finance Discipline offer the opportunity to complete a professional, highly focused applied qualification. Marketing

As a tutor in the Marketing Discipline you will contribute to our focus on applied learning and industry embedded education. Blockchain is an interdisciplinary team of academics in economics, political-economy, organisational theory, law, sociology, politics and communications. About You

The Workforce Planning Coordinator is responsible for leading the College Workforce Planning Team, which manages the casual academic lifecycle across 7 of the College's schools. The role will provide hands-on direction and guidance to their team on HR policies in relation to casual engagements and processes including remuneration, compliance and engagement, while ensuring alignment with all College and University policies.

The Workforce Planning Senior Coordinator will also drive ongoing process improvements and implement new initiatives to support best practice within the college, liaising with other teams where appropriate. They will identify and escalate issues of non – compliance with policy where appropriate.

Key liaisons for the role are the School Executive and academic leaders, the Senior Manager Planning and Operations, the College Project and Planning teams, the College HR BP, Casual Recruitment Team leaders and the Talent Operations & Integrity Manager.

About the Organisation 

Established in 2006, Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service (BWAHS) provides services and programs to Aboriginal people and families experiencing or at risk of experiencing family violence. Currently, BWAHS is one of 4 Aboriginal specific state-funded healing services in Victoria. BWAHs provides outreach services across the Eastern Metropolitan Region.

BWAHS has skilled, qualified staff and comprehensive experience with the culturally safe delivery of child, youth and family services for Aboriginal people. They provide family violence risk assessment, safety planning, case coordination and support, including referrals to the Risk Assessment Management Panel. They have developed an excellent record for providing high-quality family violence and trauma-informed Intensive Case Management, Integrated Family Services responses and evidence-based therapeutic programs to individuals and groups for a whole of family approach.

Boorndawan Willam derives from the Wathaurong and Woiwurrung languages. Boorndawan (Wathaurong), meaning 'safe' and Willam (Woiwurrung), meaning 'house', combine to create a 'safe house'. The healing service acknowledges the use of these words in the development of the organisation's name.

About the Opportunity

BWAHS is currently seeking a full-time Intensive Case Manager to join their team in Croydon, Melbourne, on a permanent full-time basis. 

Provide family violence case management support and case coordination to Aboriginal women and their children in the East Metropolitan Region. The Intensive Case Manager will undertake comprehensive needs and risk assessments of women and their children.

Core duties:

  • Provide culturally appropriate intensive outreach service to Aboriginal families referred to the Women and Children's Intensive Case Management (ICM) Program.
  • Support clients to identify their safety and support needs to assist them in developing a personal support plan to address priorities for themselves and their children.
  • Undertake Family Violence Risk assessments (MARAM) to establish levels of safety and risk to families referred to the program.
  • Undertake ongoing analysis of the families' safety and wellbeing, including the family capacity to maintain safety for children in the family.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with other Family Violence services and other government and community organisations to ensure multidisciplinary interventions as identified.

About You

To be considered for this role, you could have experience working in case management, Family Violence, or a related Community services sector.

BWAHS requests you hold a tertiary qualification relevant to this position or be excited at the opportunity to attend recognised training and development to obtain one.

Experience in case management or coordination preferred and supported opportunities to attend professional development to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics and impact of family violence in Aboriginal families and across the community. Your understanding of contemporary Aboriginal culture and the history of intergenerational trauma is a necessity for this role.

Empathy and understanding are essential for this role.

 

You will also need to navigate challenging situations with clients while supporting their strengths. You will have a theoretical understanding of the issues underpinning family violence and its relation to the cultural context.

Please note: You will need to hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Check, Working with Children Check and basic First Aid Qualification. You will also need a current Driver's Licence.

The Postdoctoral Research Assistant will undertake research on the Sustainability Victoria funded project on "Re-qualifying cardboard waste to develop light-weight precast concrete structures"It is expected that the Research Assistant will work with an increasing degree of autonomy as skills and experience develop. About You

As a Lecturer – Early Career Development Fellow ECDF, you will be responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Social Work and Human Services. Along with maintaining and advancing your scholarly, research and professional capabilities.

The Role

In this exciting role as Coordinator, HDR Partnership Agreements, you will be responsible for supporting and improving processes to ensure increased opportunities for HDR candidates that enhance the diverse career paths they may choose. These opportunities are primarily focused on engagement with global partners and research end-users (such as government, industry, commercial, and not-for-profit organisations) via collaborative research projects and internships.

You will also responsible for providing advice about the development of new partnerships, such as the feasibility of the proposal, and input into the development of agreements. About You

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

* Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, develop, and implement improvements to the customer experience.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation skills and the ability to develop content, process maps, and comprehensive management reports for internal and external stakeholders.

* Highly developed organisational and time management skills, and the ability to assess priorities, exercise discretionary judgment, and work through multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure.

About the Organisation 

Established in 2006, Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service (BWAHS) provides services and programs to Aboriginal people and families experiencing or at risk of experiencing family violence. Currently, BWAHS is one of 4 Aboriginal specific state-funded healing services in Victoria. 

BWAHS has skilled, qualified staff and comprehensive experience with the culturally safe delivery of child, youth and family services for Aboriginal people. They provide family violence risk assessment, safety planning, case coordination and support, including referrals to the Risk Assessment Management Panel. They have developed an excellent record for providing high-quality family violence and trauma-informed Intensive Case Management, Integrated Family Services responses and evidence-based therapeutic programs to individuals and groups for a whole of family approach.

Boorndawan Willam derives from the Wathaurong and Woiwurrung languages. Boorndawan (Wathaurong), meaning 'safe' and Willam (Woiwurrung), meaning 'house', combine to create a 'safe house'. The healing service acknowledges the use of these words in the development of the organisation's name. 

About the Opportunity

BWAHS is currently seeking a Women's Counsellor to join their Family Violence Therapeutic Program team, based at their new Croydon, Melbourne office.

Reporting to the Practice and Development Manager, provide individual counselling and family therapeutic counselling sessions for women impacted by family violence and intergenerational trauma.

Core duties: 

  • Undertake intake and assessment 
  • Deliver individual and family therapeutic counselling sessions
  • Identify family violence risks and strategies to support safety and the healing journey
  • Collaborate and consult with ACF and BWAHS practitioners to reduce identified barriers and support clients to attend therapeutic groups and programs.
  • Identify opportunities to support a strong positive connection between participants and their families, culture, Country and Community to promote healing and recovery. 
  • Coordinate therapeutic services for women in the program, liaising with existing support services and regularly discussing individual plans with the women and the care team.
  • Support the development of and facilitation of structured group and family sessions where appropriate for women, children and families/carers

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, family therapy, or similar. You will also have demonstrated experience in the family violence sector or related areas.

You will need a clear understanding of the history of intergenerational trauma, including the issues underpinning family violence and therapeutic interventions in an Aboriginal cultural context.

You will be an approachable and empathetic communicator capable of adapting your approach to each individual. You will be able to engage women and families of varying ages, stages, and situations with complex needs. 

You will be able to work both autonomously and as part of a diverse, driven team. Confident creating and maintaining solid relationships with other service providers or relevant organisations, you will support positive connection between participants and their families, culture, Country and Community, promoting healing and recovery.

Finally, you will need to demonstrate a practical understanding of the legislative, policy, and practice requirements of Aboriginal children, families, and communities impacted by family violence. You will also be able to work within these requirements and use a range of basic computer programs.

About the opportunity 
 
The Senior Lecturer position has been created to support students in the Extended Bachelor Program commencing in 2022. This is a four-year degree for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to undertake studies in an academically and culturally supported environment. It provides students with an opportunity to make connections between in-depth discipline study and knowledge of culture and practice.
 
The degree includes a 12 month ‘Foundation year’, comprising foundational literacy and mathematics within the following new structures: Bachelor of Arts (Extended); Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Extended); and Bachelor of Science (Extended).
 
One additional year of study is offered in Block Mode (‘Away From Base’) to enable students to enjoy their learning in a supportive environment being gradually introduced to life on campus at The University of Sydney.
