The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the ATSI Act and subject to the PGPA Act. The ILSC assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to realise economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits that the ownership and management of land, water and water related rights can bring. The ILSC provides this assistance through the acquisition and management of rights and interests in land, salt water and fresh water country.
 
The ILSC is seeking an organised and enthusiastic self-starter to lead the administrative functions of the Western Divisional office.   Working in a rewarding environment you will manage a small team to undertake a range of administrative, financial and reporting activities to support project staff and management employees, and to maintain the efficient and effective operations of the Divisional Office.
 
Reporting to the Divisional Manager you will:

  • Supervise, direct and take responsibility for all administrative functions of the Divisional Office.
  • Manage administration staff including communicating job expectations through planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Support Divisional employees in the preparation and management of project budgets, benefits and schedules to ensure good financial and project management practices are maintained.
  • Maintain and monitor relevant information systems, data and records management.

The Divisional Manager will lead the Central Division of the ILSC in delivering the ILSC’s core acquisition and management functions in South Australia, Northern Territory, Victoria and Tasmania.
Specifically, the Divisional Manager will lead the implementation of the ILSC’s Our Country Our Future Program and in doing so lead delivery of the ILSC’s National Indigenous Land and Sea Strategy and Regional Indigenous Land and Sea Strategies across a large and diverse regional footprint.
This is an exciting senior executive role that will play an influential leadership role in the ILSC’s vision that Indigenous Australians enjoy the rightful entitlements, opportunities and benefit that the return of country and its management brings.
Reporting to the Executive Director Programs, the Central Divisional Manger will be expected to:

  • Lead and manage the key functions of the Central Divisional Office of the ILSC through effective leadership, planning, organising and the achievement of outcomes in line with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Act 2005, NILS and OCOF Program objectives.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with Indigenous owners of land and water country, corporate, philanthropic and government partners resulting in social, cultural, economic and environmental outcomes.
  • Provide high-level advice and recommendations on the ILSC’s land and sea acquisition and management functions and activities to the ILSC Executive and ILSC Board.
  • Lead, evaluate, review and report on Divisional activities, including the delivery of continuous improvement strategies, ensuring that the Division meets agreed KPI’s relating to the acquisition and divestment of land and sea and the delivery of benefits on Indigenous owned country.
  • Lead and motivate a divisional team focussed on performance, partnerships and client outcomes.

About the role

The IP Commercialisation Officer will support the actions and systems necessary to adequately protect RMIT's IP and translate RMIT's research assets into commercial outcomes. The role will have a particular emphasis on administration, data entry, inbox management, preparing reports, monitoring and managing deadlines and arranging for the signing of documents to support the development and commercial exploitation of RMIT's innovative technologies.

The IP Commercialisation Officer will also support and assist the IP Commercialisation team in building and maintaining strong internal and external networks with Research Colleges and Schools, Research and Innovation Portfolio, IP specialists, business development and technology transfer managers. This is an administration focused position and training will be provided in relation to specific IP and commercialisation knowledge.

To be successful in this position, you will be required to have the following:

* Identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.

* Value working collaboratively, connecting and building relationships with people including a range of stakeholders.

* Experience with higher education, intellectual property, legal, accounting, finance or business sector administration.

* Ability to undertake or willingness to learn about financial administration.

Qualifications

Essential: Qualifications in a relevant area of administration or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.

Desirable: Experience at a patent, intellectual property legal or accounting firm, for example as a secretary, personal assistant or paralegal, or in the higher education sector would be highly regarded; qualifications in a relevant area such as science, engineering, business, accounting or law.

About You

As the Outbound Sales Campaign Coordinator, you will lead all outbound sales activity aimed at targeting potential future students in order to convert them from prospect to enrolments in line with University targets. This will predominantly be in the form of Outbound phone calls, but may include other customer contact channels based on audience needs. You will have oversight and responsibility of a sales pipeline within the CRM, leveraging insight data to ensure that the team engages in timely, meaningful conversations with prospects to maximise sales opportunities as they present themselves. You will also gather insights and analytics to report back into the business to inform future recruitment projects. Additionally, as a Coordinator within the Study@RMIT team, you will also be involved in various projects, tasks and initiatives geared towards the continuous improvement of RMIT's service delivery as well as contributing to the University's overall recruitment and operation
al targets.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Experience in a fast paced, sales environment with campaign management experience preferable.
* High level of Salesforce (or similar CRM experience). Other systems such as Power BI, Microsoft Excel are advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and comprehension skills, and confidently interact with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds. Public speaking experience is an advantage.
* An ability to manage difficult stakeholder expectations with successful outcome.
* Ability to analyse and report on statistics and data trends, particularly pertaining to customer relationship management, and present findings to stakeholders.
* Ability to use multiple systems simultaneously and work well under pressure whilst meeting KPI's.

About the Role
The Administration and Finance Officer is a key part of the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health professional staff team with a focus on providing effective and systematic administrative support that enables the School to operate as efficiently as possible. Key responsibilities include supporting the timely and efficient management of resources, particularly analysing and processing financial matters; supporting related human resources issues; and other general administration across the School.

In a typical week at work, you may:

  • Provide accurate and timely advice to School staff on administrative and resourcing matters, including interpreting University, Faculty and School policy and procedures. (e.g. on management of purchasing cards, FBT, travel).
  • Work with Centres and the School in implementing School support processes and managing financial transactions, including liaison with central finance and employee Services and other University support areas.
  • Implement and monitor systems for recording key School information to optimise efficiency, such as use of Independent Contractor Agreements and space allocation.

About You

About You

As the Payroll Officer, you will work with team members and RMIT's third party payroll provider to support payroll administration. You will be responsible for processing payroll transactions unable to be processed through self-service or otherwise not undertaken by the third-party payroll provider. This will also involve maintaining payroll compliance and reconciling payroll data to ensure that pay is accurate, and the service is efficient.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in the timely and accurate production and reconciliation of a large complex payroll.
* Demonstrated experience providing timely and accurate processing of payroll and People master data for a large complex payroll.
* Demonstrated working experience and knowledge of HR administration, complex payroll operations with exposure to a diverse range of Enterprise Agreements, Superannuation, PAYG, Workcover, Salary Packaging, payment calculations, termination and redundancy processes.
* Demonstrated personal initiative in the identification and implementation of better work practices.
* Proven ability to work both independently and positively to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines with a strong commitment and demonstrated ability to provide customer service excellence
* Advanced competency in MS Office suite skills and experience working with a HR information system would be advantageous, in particular with Workday.

As a Statistics and Analytics Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to the School's research efforts by producing high quality research publications, submitting competitive grant applications, and supervising research students in postgraduate research programs. About You

To be successful for level B appointment, you will have:

* Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links

* Ability to supervise higher degree by research candidates in, at least, an associate capacity

* Ability to build effective networks and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government

* Ability to prepare and deliver large statistics and analytics courses, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including online delivery

* Previous experience in industry leading statistical computing packages such as R, SAS and Python, in the delivery of the above courses

* Ability to produce high quality curriculum or course materials and the ability to undertake a course coordination role

* Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning

In addition to the above, to be successful for level C appointment you will also have:

* Ability to manage a large program or a number of small programs

* Ability to implement innovative approaches to student-centered learning and quality improvement

* Experience in research leadership with the ability to build collaborative research teams, mentor academic staff and manage funded research projects including complex budgets and reporting requirements

* Understanding of and commitment to financial, governance and quality management systems within a university

About You

As Vendor Manager, Corporate Services (Procurement), you will be involved in the continued development and implementation of the RMIT Vendor Management Framework to track and monitor the performance and contractual obligations for Corporate Services and Academic & Student Support Services vendors at RMIT University.

You will be responsible for managing the relationships with these vendors and ensuring adherence to all strategic, tactical, operational and performance objectives, including adherence to financial commitments and operational expenditure that is associated with the delivery. You will also identify and implement opportunities for vendor relationship improvements, value-adds, innovations and student-industry engagements.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Experience in managing multiple complex contracts utilising standardised policy and procedure whilst still delivering commercial outcomes, ideally within a travel and/or Human Resources discipline.
