About the role and the Discipline

As the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to the teaching, scholarship, research, and industry engagement efforts of the School in the field of Medical Radiation, more specifically (Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine as relevant to your expertise). This role will see you:

* Contributing to the leadership of the program and its delivery of taught programs

* Being actively involved with the industry partners and nurturing new and already established links within your relevant stream and within the wider medical radiations community of practice.

* Working collaboratively with fellow academics within the teaching team, and updating colleagues and students on developments in your subject area or specialization

* You may also be responsible for course coordination.

The discipline of Medical Radiations contributes to teaching and research in the fields of Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine. The undergraduate program enables graduates to be eligible for registration to practice as Medical Imaging Technologists, Radiation Therapists or Nuclear Medicine Technologists in Australia under AHPRA. The discipline promotes strong, interdisciplinary collaboration within Applied Health and contributes to the mission and vision of the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences, the STEM College and RMIT University. It also promotes strong links with industry partners and regularly engages with these and other stakeholders.

To be successful for this role, you will have:

* Ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate level, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials

* Ability to undertake course coordination role

* Demonstrated capacity in working effectively with and negotiating sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning and ability to supervise higher degree by research students

* Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links

* Strong commitment to fostering industry links and networks and ability to generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government

* Strong interpersonal skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and industry partners and focus on multidisciplinary collaboration

To be successful for level C appointment, in addition to the above you will also have:

* Ability to coordinate large courses and implement innovative approaches to provide best of class student experience

* Ability to manage a large program or several small programs involving substantial blended and online learning

* Experience in research/scholarship/industry leadership with the ability to build collaborative teams, mentor academic staff to deliver high quality outcomes, attract external research funding/relevant industry links to sustain academic effort and the ability to manage funded projects

* Ability to manage an academic program team and supporting scholarly development of less experienced staff

* Understanding of and commitment to financial, governance and quality management systems within a university

Qualifications

Mandatory:

* PhD in a related field or approved AQF equivalency with relevant industry experience (a minimum of seven years of full-time practice or equivalent for appointment at level B and a minimum of ten years of full-time practice or equivalent for appointment at level C)

* Registration or eligibility to register with AHPRA

About You

The Senior Manager, Research Contracts provides specialist contracts expertise, advice and education/coaching in the negotiation and execution of research contracts as part of the Research Services team. The role will drive a strong service culture in progressing research contracts by managing the review, draft, negotiation and execution of agreements. The role is required to ensure agreements comply with all applicable legislation and RMIT policies and to safeguard the interests of both the University and researchers. The role will develop a strong partnership with Legal Services on complex contractual matters and to mitigate potential risks.

About You

Reporting to the Associate Director, Programs and Delivery, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives aligned to new programs within the College of Vocational Education. You will work to support the five Industry Clusters within the College to conceptualise, design, develop and implement new programs, with a clear focus on growth and impact across the sector.

You will be a highly skilled educational leader and manager, who has demonstrated excellence in academic leadership and developing strategic directions. You will be involved in negotiating and collaborating with Industry, Government and other stakeholders on matters that have significant, long term, operational impact.

Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of projects, and cross-functional initiatives, managing the end to end operational requirements required to set up new programs and supporting capability planning to build capacity in new programs areas.

Additionally, you will need to ensure that programs are compliant to all University requirements and regulatory specifications, and build strong relationships with teaching, technical support and administration staff.

The Organisation

The National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse is an independent, not-for-profit organisation established to increase understanding of child sexual abuse, promote effective ways for protecting children, guide best practice responses and pathways to healing for survivors, and reduce the harm it causes.
  
The National Centre is a joint venture between Blue Knot Foundation, The Healing Foundation and the Australian Childhood Foundation with initial funding from the Australian Government. The three organisations have united to form an Australian-first partnership that will commission critical research, evaluate interventions and therapeutic programs, raise community awareness, reduce stigma and provide training.
  
The National Centre will give voice to the experiences of survivors of all ages, life stages and communities . The Role
  
As a key member of the leadership team you will lead the finance, business operations and corporate responsibilities of the centre.

Managing the key corporate functions you will position the Centre to deliver on its contractual and operational obligations, while ensuring responsive and strategic systems are in place to inform monitoring of quality, performance and financial targets. You will oversee financial management and reporting, human resources, Information technology and data management.

Leading policy development and implementation to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements is also an important aspect of the role, as it the set up and establishment of the internal CRM system.

About the Department of Rural Health
The Department of Rural Health is a department within the Melbourne Medical School at the University of Melbourne. The Department is based in Shepparton, Ballarat, Bendigo (in partnership with Monash University and La Trobe University) and Wangaratta and has associations with more than 40 smaller rural towns in Victoria. The key purpose of the Department is to provide professional health education and research training in a rural context with an aim to increase the rural health workforce.

The Department of Rural Health is funded primarily by the Australian Government Department of Health’s Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) Program. About the Role
This is a fixed term position until the end of 2024 and will be based in either Shepparton or Wangaratta. While this appointment is full time, there is flexibility to appoint at 0.8 FTE (salary will be pro rata for part time). 

The Administration and Events Officer is responsible for the administration of the daily operations of the Goulburn Valley Regional Training Hub (GVRTH) including; administration, event coordination and communications support.

The Administration and Events Officer will provide support to the implementation of the Regional Training Hub program by working with students, local health services, regional training organisations, general practice colleges, post graduate medical councils to support the integration of medical training at the local level.

In a typical week at work, you may:

  • Schedule and coordinate online and face to face meetings.
  • Track Hub expenditure and review monthly transactions.
  • Contribute to planning and organising events. Including sourcing quotes, booking venues, organising catering, booking travel and accommodation.
  • Support the Engagement Officer with event promotion including creating power point presentations, flyers, posting social media posts and updating website content.  

About You
Your strong communication skills will allow you to liaise with a range of people at all both externally and internally at all levels of the organisation. Providing quality customer service will be a passion of yours, able to do so within a complex working environment. You will have well developed organisation and time management skills, which allow you to complete multiple competing tasks to a high level within set deadlines. Experience with the University of Melbourne's systems and familiarity with relevant policies and procedures is desired, but not essential. 

Some work out of normal business hours may be required to support some events and functions.

Ideally, you will further have:

  • Completion of a degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated initiative and strong problem solving skills with the ability to deliver creative solutions.
  • High level of proficiency in the use of standard application software such as the Microsoft Office suite

  • Effectively utilise Legal Aid NSW electronic case management/tracking/reporting systems and databases and provide accurate statistical and other information about work carried out;
  • Develop and deliver financial literacy education to assist and empower clients to gain an improved ability to manage their financial affairs;
  • Keep up to date on developments in the financial counselling sector and identify/attend training as required;
  • Partner with legal officers and domestic violence workers to provide coordinated financial counselling and legal case management.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

• Willingness to undertake a Criminal Record Check and/or working with Children Check

• Holding Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency is an essential requirement for ongoing employment 

• Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or hold a valid working visa for temporary employment

• Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) or the Diploma of Financial Counselling;
• Accreditation with Financial Counsellors’ Associate of NSW INC;
• Demonstrated experience working as a financial counsellor;
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencing in role
