About You
The Enterprise Compliance Manager is a key role in leading compliance management activities for RMIT. This is a second line-of-defence role that is responsible for the university-wide frameworks, processes and tools that coordinate and assure compliance management activities for RMIT.

* Extensive experience in an enterprise compliance or governance role and an understanding of regulatory and industry standards for compliance management.

About You
As a VE Teacher, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses in the School. Participation in the School's continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including on-line delivery methods) and methods of students' assessment will also form part of this role. The Diploma of Building & Construction includes units such as Managing Construction Work, OH&S Risk Management, Managing Project Quality, Applying Structural Principles for Low & Medium Rise Constructions. Industry experience within the building and construction industry is therefore critical for success within this role.

The position will require 3 days teaching, 1 day Administrative and 1 day from home.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Current TAE Cert IV Qualification

* Knowledge and recent industry experience working within Building & Construction

* Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods.

* Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

* Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.

* Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.

* Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.

This position is located in the School of Property, Construction and Project Management. One of our key research partners is the Future Fuels Cooperative Research Centre (FFCRC). FFCRC is the industry focussed Research, Development & Demonstration (RD&D) partnership enabling the decarbonisation of Australia's natural gas networks and working with partners in a collaborative and connected research community embracing industry, academia and government.

This position is specifically linked to FFCRC project RP2.1-10 Understanding householder electricity and gas practices – Managing the transition of vulnerable customers towards future fuels. Responding to the industry need to better understand how people use and trade off gas and electricity in their homes, this mixed methods study will explain householder energy consumption patterns and practices, how they feel about and respond to different energy sources, and how these are shaped by, or shape, vulnerability and affordability. The project involves multiple methods, including detailed monitoring of indoor temperatures, gas and electricity use in 48 households selected on the basis of specific demographic characteristics and collection of qualitative audio-visual and interview data regarding household energy use practices.

The successful candidate will work full time on the project for a period of 25 months, supported by other senior research academics from within the School and a keen group of industry advisers. Key tasks include liaison with industry to recruit householders to the study, building relationships and conducting householder interviews and integrating quantitative and qualitative data regarding energy use as well as report writing and general project management.

About You

In alignment with RMIT's change principles, as Change Manager, you will be accountable for developing and leading the change management strategy, plans and interventions across a portfolio of large and small projects, supporting leaders in the design, communication and delivery of all change readiness activities and engaging stakeholders.

In particular, one key program you will be supporting will transform research management at RMIT through the implementation of technical solution enabling business improvements, enhanced researcher and research management user experience and enhanced data capture and reporting. Your role will be to ensure all change management activities are sufficiently completed.

You'll have the agility, passion, and imagination to do this in a manner which is inclusive and collaborative of all our end users, bringing them all on a tailored and meaningful change journey whereby they successfully adopt and embed any new ways of working, processes and tools to enable smooth transition from current to future state.

Additionally, you will be required to work closely with project delivery leads, senior leadership, executive sponsors, Enterprise Change team and Colleges to ensure our organisational approach to change is inclusive, dynamic, efficient and ultimately delivers desired outcomes and ownership.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Working knowledge of and experience in change methodologies and models (e.g., PROSCI, APMP, CMI, etc.).
* End to end project lifecycle experience and working knowledge of a variety of project methodologies (Agile preferred).
* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, influence and coordinate a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic project priorities.
* Extensive experience in developing stakeholder engagement plans within the context of change to breakdown resistance and deliver high engagement and required project outcomes.
* Excellent written, verbal, analytical, coaching and facilitation skills.
* Tech savvy, open to using new systems and tools to improve the way we deliver services.

ABOUT THE TEAM

 

The Civil Law Service for Aboriginal Communities (CLSAC) is a specialist team within the Civil Law Division that delivers targeted and holistic legal services by phone and outreach to identified disadvantaged Aboriginal communities and correctional centres across NSW. The CLSAC service to prisons includes the Aboriginal Women Leaving Custody service which is aimed at addressing legal barriers to housing faced by Aboriginal women in prison.

 

CLSAC is a multi-disciplinary team that aims to provide high quality advice and casework services to Aboriginal people that deliver better outcomes for people’s everyday lives. It works with Aboriginal communities and community workers to increase their capacity to deal with civil law problems as they arise and to work in partnership with other legal and non-legal services.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

A Grade I-III Legal Officer in the Civil Law Division will: 

• Provide a high quality advice, minor assistance and casework services in areas such as stolen generations, consumer, mental health, human rights, employment, housing, immigration, social security, and/or coronial inquests, or other areas of civil law

• Deliver efficient and effective targeted legal services to disadvantaged Aboriginal clients 

• Comply with the Legal Aid Commission Act, policies and practice management standards and undertake all related administrative and case management activities

The successful applicant will be a lawyer who has experience working with Aboriginal clients and communities and has a passion for addressing the social justice issues facing communities across NSW.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Admission or eligibility for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW

• Willingness to undertake a Criminal Record Check and/or Working with Children Check

We are looking for an enthusiastic paralegal who has experience working with Aboriginal People and Communities. You will provide legal support to the WDO Service to ensure the provision of accurate, timely and quality legal services to clients with fines; support the expansion of the WDO Scheme across NSW and build the capacity of existing WDO Sponsors to support their clients.

 

ROLE NOTES

Each role has a different responsibility:

  • Finance (28hpw) – Processing purchase orders and invoices, confirming receipt of goods and services and maintaining financial records and using SAP and Excel. This role also responds to Service Desk requests for assistance with facility related matters.
  • Facilities management – responding to ServiceDesk requests for assistance with leased tenancy and motor vehicle matters, liaising with internal customers and contacts contractors and property managers to arrange for tenancy repairs and maintenance and oversee works. The role also manages proactive maintenance schedules and requires a driver's licence for fleet repairs and maintenance.
