About the role
The Senior Operations Officer is a key contributor to the operations and events planning and delivery of student ceremonies and examinations for the University of Melbourne.  These events are large-scale, high impact, deliver significant volumes and are governed by regulations, policy and academic integrity with students at the core of all decisions.  This role makes a substantial contribution across a range of activities with a particular focus on coordinating exams operations and liaising with the events and logistics team to coordinate onsite arrangements.
About you
You will have:

  • An appropriate undergraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and/or education/training.

Blue Knot Foundation (BKF) is the National Centre of Excellence for Complex Trauma, empowering recovery and building resilience for adults impacted by complex trauma.   
  
With funding from the Department of Social Services (DSS), BKF has been approached to operate the Counselling and Referral Line for people affected by the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.  This is a unique opportunity to play a part in significant social change.
  
The service will operate seven days a week and will provide counselling, support and referral services to people impacted by the Disability Royal Commission (DRC), including survivors, guardians, family members, carers, advocates and other people affected by the DRC.

The Role
  
This position involves the development and nurturing of an ongoing collaborative relationship with the DRC and other key stakeholders including the funder, other relevant federal government departments, disability and other support services and teams within BKF. 
  
You will ensure the implementation and delivery of an optimal wrap around service for all stakeholders requiring information, support or referral for people who are engaging with or affected by the DRC.  Additionally you will:

  • Develop plans to address the business and stakeholder needs of the DRC and callers
  • Meet regularly with DSS to ensure contract terms are met
  • Be the contact point for complaints and make recommendations for quality improvement
  • Collaborate with the counselling and referral teams to optimally address callers’ needs

The University’s inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2011–2013 was expressly aimed at developing both institutional knowledge and the fundamental processes that support Indigenous development and contribute to Indigenous wellbeing. RAP2 focused on a range of strategies and initiatives to support Faculties and Graduate Schools to achieve their own reconciliation outcomes as appropriate to their particular contexts.

The Indigenous Development Team within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) has successfully led a range of projects to deliver on our RAP commitments and are now seeking an Indigenous Development Project Officer to join the team.

Under the direction of the Indigenous Development Manager, the Indigenous Development Project Officer will assist with the planning, coordination and implementation of key projects and initiatives as part of the Faculty’s ongoing strategic response to RAP3. Projects accompanying the work may include the development of an MDHS Indigenous Graduate Pathway and strategies to share the Faculty’s Indigenous Development work.

The Role

Due to continued growth TRACE JV is seeking an experienced and qualified Repairs Coordinator for a Monday – Friday fixed term 6 month contract based locally in Darwin NT.

The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate all repairs, calibrations and recertification’s via external vendors from order award through to goods receipt at warehouse.  This includes liaising with shutdown, warehouse and facility personnel to ensure no delays occur due to material unavailability. The role will be responsible for understanding all aspects of material status from purchasing, delivery, storage, final receipting, consumption and where required the returns process.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Coordination of internal repairs via PM04 process (SAP)
  • Coordination of repairs, calibrations and recertification’s via external vendors from order award through to goods receipt at warehouse
  • Expediting timely turnaround of equipment / materials from vendors back to inventory / offshore facilities in line with operational requirements
  • Maintain expediting notes in MSR to maximise visibility
  • Review & action MRP outputs (SAP) for refurbishable materials
  • Convert planned purchase order to purchase requisition (external repairs)
  • Create refurbishment work orders (internal repairs)
  • Perform inventory movements at workshop (internal repairs)
  • Coordinate/perform inspections at repairers facilities for repaired items
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders, review of damaged components and make decisions to repair or scrap

Requirements

  • Experience in a materials co-ordination or warehousing role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience with the provisioning of scopes and the development of detailed work packs.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Exposure to SAP.
  • Previous vendor/subcontractor management experience.
  • Prior Oil & Gas Maintenance or operations exposure.

The Opportunity:
 
The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) has primary responsibility for Indigenous affairs policies and most Commonwealth Indigenous-specific policy and programmes across Australia. This reflects the Government’s priorities of ensuring better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, with a particular focus on getting children to school, getting adults in jobs and making communities safer.

The NIAA briefs the Minister for Indigenous Affairs and consults extensively across the Australian Public Service (APS) to ensure that the advice provided draws on the most appropriate and up-to-date sources. The NIAA is also assuming a stronger leadership role in driving Indigenous affairs policy development and innovation across the APS. The NIAA is working with State and Territory Governments to deliver high priority initiatives in pursuit of the Government’s priorities.

The NIAA Regional Network comprises 12 regions across Australia, each reflecting unique cultures and languages. The NIAA Regional Network leads engagement with communities, other stakeholders and government agencies to drive outcomes in the Government’s three key Indigenous policy areas of getting children into school, getting adults into jobs and making communities safer. The NIAA Regional Network also manages the delivery of services to achieve outcomes in these areas through funded providers under the Indigenous Advancement Strategy. Funded providers are expected to work closely with Indigenous communities in the design and delivery of projects and services. Staff in the NIAA Regional Network also work closely with funded providers and communities to develop and implement local solutions to improve outcomes in the Government’s priority areas.

The NIAA Regional Network is overseen by a National Director who is accountable to the Government for delivering results on the ground. Local staff report to the National Director through their Regional Manager to promote increased responsiveness and quicker decisions both on the ground and at the national level.

There are also two support Branches, including this role, that work to ensure that the Regional Network works collaboratively with other areas in the NIAA, and across the APS more generally. Policy and Evidence roles Staff working in this function will have the primary responsibility for ensuring Indigenous Australians are included in the design and development of policy and programs that affect them. They will ensure that Indigenous Australians are supported to realise community priorities. Staff will use data to empower Indigenous Australians to have greater agency over their own future. Roles in this function will exercise leadership in testing and sharing innovative community-led solutions and will have a direct and valued influence in continuous improvement of the overall effectiveness of government policy and programs for Indigenous Australians. Staff in these roles will initiate and drive NIAA’s policy agenda in response to community and stakeholder needs, working with Programme area stakeholders.
