The Role:
RMIT Skills and Jobs Centre is seeking expressions of interest from applicants for a data analyst/administration assistant position. As part of RMIT's commitment to the long-term employability of students and Skills and Jobs Centre clients, you will be responsible helping track study outcomes with follow up surveys, analysing VE Student data and other ad hoc admin duties. You will need to be proficient in excel and knowledge of Microsoft Forms would be advantageous.
 
Your Responsibilities:
* Analyse final year VE student data and sort into areas of study
* Analyse SAJC & VE data for quarterly reporting
* Troubleshoot and edit any problems with our online booking forms
* Help to track SAJC employment / study outcomes with follow up surveys, phone calls to students etc
* Adhoc Admin duties – including following up with students via phone, email, surveys, assisting with bookings, any other admin type tasks as required
 
About you:
* Be extremely proficient in excel formulas to analyse spreadsheet data for government reporting
* Having backend knowledge of Microsoft Forms / Microsoft Booking systems would be desirable
* Experience running client / student surveys via various platforms is desirable
* Strong attention to detail

About the role

Working with STEM College and in partnership with the College of Vocational Education (VE), this is a newly created role which will be responsible for the delivery of new activities. The Systems Administrator – Siemens Industry 4.0 will facilitate the functional delivery of Teamcentre deployment, enhancement, support and day to day operational management. The incumbent will be accountable for providing technical leadership in the configuration, operation and lifecycle management of Siemens PLM technologies. Furthermore, they will be expected to provide support to academics performing learning and teaching activities structured around Siemens Industry 4.0. The incumbent will maintain a consistent collaborative relationship with ITS Technical delivery teams responsible for backend infrastructure, Cloud and application technical support.

About You

You are self-motivated and highly collaborative with strong communication skills as you will be working across two colleges facilitating enterprise systems. You have hands-on knowledge and experience with Windows Server administration and Web-Server administration such as IIS, Tomcat and JBOSS. You will also have experience with enterprise systems administration such as, PLM, ERP, MES, CRM etc. In addition, you have worked with Power shell scripting or DOS scripting. Any prior knowledge or experience with SQL Server and experience with Siemens PLM Industry 4.0 suite and most optimally of Teamentre application will be advantageous.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

* A tertiary qualification/vendor certifications and relevant experience.
* Proven track record of successfully provisioning, managing and maintaining server infrastructure in large to midsize environments.
* Demonstrated commitment to a service delivery framework.
* Experience working on projects to deliver technologically innovative solutions and support assistance.

* Ability to work cooperatively within a team, imparting knowledge and sharing experience with others.
* Ability to take a leading role in the establishment and maintain constructive relationships with customers, peers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
* Ability to write technical reports, processes and procedures and service documentation.

The HDR Student Experience Senior Officer will provide operational, administrative and secretariat support to the STEM Research and Innovation leadership to deliver an excellent experience for HDR students and streamlined running of two STEM Cluster Research Committees. The HDR Student Experience Senior Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative support for research events that support the higher degree by research experience, including research conferences, symposia, industry research events, and research planning activities.

The HDR Student Experience Senior Officer reports to the Associate DVC R&I and works closely and collaboratively with the Deans R&I, Chairs of Cluster Research Committees and Associate Deans HDR to deliver on strategic projects, events and activities to support HDR student outcomes.

To be succes
sful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

* Demonstrated experience in operations or administrative role within a research environment.
* Demonstrated client focus with excellent oral and written communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills, including proven ability to negotiate with internal and external parties, and to operate within the broad policy requirements of the university to complete tasks on time and to specification.
* Highly developed organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and effectively prioritise tasks.
* Demonstrated experience providing committee secretariat support, preferably in a higher education research environment, including scheduling meetings, consulting with the Chair to develop agendas, minutes, correspondence and Committee papers and communicating with members in a timely manner.
* Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team and ind
ependently to deliver high quality outcomes.
* Knowledge and understanding of the research environment in the higher education sector and ideally of the processes and practices in supporting higher degree research students.

About You
The Assistant, Research Training Services is responsible for providing research services and support to Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) candidates and supervisors throughout their candidature lifecycle including progress management, organisation of HDR events including milestone conferences and providing a high-level customer service to our vibrant HDR community.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

* Experience within the University sector or similar complex organisation in a similar role.
* Logical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to understand issues at a broad strategic level and at a detailed operational level.
* Experience in supporting high-performing customer focused teams to deliver to a range of clients;
* Strong oral and written communication skills including the abili
ty to work with a variety of different stakeholders as well as the ability to work independently and as a member of a team;
* Demonstrating initiative, motivation and an engaging customer focus.
