About the Role
As Communications and Engagement Manager (Development), you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated communications and stakeholder engagement plans to support the strategic objectives, projects and activities of the Development team within Corporate Finance, Property and Sustainability (CFPS).
You will be responsible for coordinating activities, supporting the planning and implementation of Development projects, and responding to day-to-day Development team communication and engagement requirements.
You will provide strategic advice to the senior leaders within the team on best practice communications and stakeholder engagement and will be required to manage reputation and communications risks.
In a typical week at work, you may:
- Identify and track issues with potential impact to the University’s reputation or that may impede its ability to achieve strategic objectives.
- Identify story opportunities and help coordinate the promotion of these stories to identified internal and external audiences.
- Drive stakeholder engagement by producing effective targeted communications.
- Develop measures and feedback methodology for all communication initiatives and processes to ensure continual improvement.
Please note, this is a fixed-term opportunity available for 2 years.
This opportunity is available as a full-time (1 FTE) or part-time opportunity (0.8 FTE; 4 days per week).
About You
You will have the ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of relevant audiences and internal and external stakeholders and anticipate their needs and requirements. You will have a degree of initiative as well as strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
You will further bring expert knowledge and understanding of project and property-based communication and engagement approaches, as well as experience in the development of reports, papers and support for estate and project governance.
You will further have:
- Extensive work experience within relevant communications or stakeholder engagement field and tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, finance, business, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working in complex environments, including the ability to translate project ambitions into communications and engagement design, as well as the ability to effectively lead peers as require.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and communicate effectively to a broad range of stakeholders who have varying levels of relevant expertise or knowledge.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to develop content for a range of communications channels and platforms and to pitch information to diverse audiences from the general student community to Senior Executive stakeholders.
- A comprehensive understanding of managing stakeholders, issues, and reputation, as well as high level influencing skill.

The Mental Health Advocacy Service is based at Legal Aid’s Central Sydney office and provides representation to people in mental health, guardianship and drug and alcohol treatment matters throughout NSW. That includes the representation of forensic patients. We are looking for a senior lawyer to lead the forensic arm of the MHAS practice. That involves appearing before tribunals and courts, rostering, training, supervising staff, contributing to law reform and proposed changes to legislation, procedures and policies. ABOUT THE ROLE
Your duties as a Senior Solicitor in the Civil Law Division will include:
• Providing high quality advice, minor assistance and casework services in areas of disability law with specific focus on forensic mental health and intellectual disability law.
• Conduct and supervise other legal officers to ensure an efficient and effective legal practice in accordance with the standards required by Legal Aid NSW
• Community engagement, identifying and attending community and government agency events and meetings. The aim is to promote our services and identify community needs and opportunities

Horizons Programs Manager
MELBOURNE, Victoria Cathy Freeman Foundation
The Cathy Freeman Foundation works with 1600 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children and their families across four remote Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities (Palm Island and Woorabinda in Queensland, and Wurrumiyanga and Galiwin’ku in the Northern Territory).
Cathy Freeman Foundation is committed to providing child safe and protected environments in all its activities and programs and has a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse or exploitation. Children have the right to be safe and protected.
Reporting to the Programs Director, we are seeking a full time Horizons Program Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract (with possibility of extension).
The Horizons Program in 2022 will run 8 camps – 3 localised camps (Rockhampton, Townsville, and Nhulunbuy), as well as 5 national camps (Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Darwin, and Brisbane). The Horizons Program gives students from our partner schools an opportunity to join their peers from other partner communities for an intensive and empowering personal development experience in Australian capital cities, as well as local regional cities.
With a focus on engaging with Indigenous role models, building self-efficacy, and exploring post- schooling options, the Horizons program is both educational and aspirational. These week-long trips are shared with around 15 other students who return to their school with a better understanding of the opportunities that are available to them outside of their communities.
The Horizons Program Manager oversees all aspects of the Horizons camps, including:
• pre- and post-camp engagements;
• engaging with stakeholders, including families and communities;
• coordinating and supervising local CFF Programs Coordinators during the planning period;
• implementing the program monitoring and evaluation framework within reporting cycles;
• budget development and expenditure; and
• delivery and supervision of the Horizons camps.
The role will require regular travel and being away for extended periods of time.
Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management (50%)
• Coordinate and administer all aspects of the Horizons program
• Facilitate the activities and events required for the pre and post Horizon camp
• Run 8 Horizons camps per year in various locations across Australia
• Design each individual camp in relation to the age of participants to ensure outcomes are achieved
• Ensure effective and timely communication with school leadership and staff relating to Horizons program
• Work in partnership with Community Program Coordinators to ensure effective communication within community
Stakeholder Management (20%)
• High level management of relationships with key program supplier, Cottage By The Sea
• High level management of relationships with school leadership
• Maintain key working relationships and facilitate open communication with all community stakeholders and program providers
• High level engagement with Principal Partner/s, of Horizons Program.
Reporting, Monitoring & Evaluation (20%)
• Manage all Horizons program monitoring data collection
• Complete all Horizons Quarterly reports
• Participate in CFF Annual Team Week events and activities
• Report to Program Director daily
• Undertake the development of surveys to capture Horizons impact on school workloads and shared student outcomes
General Responsibilities (5%)
• Liaise regularly and maintain full communication of Horizons program management and implementation to the CFF Program Director
• Maintain professional standards reflecting the Cathy Freeman Foundation workplace expectations
• Provide a positive contribution to planning, team meetings and workplace discussions
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the CFF Program Director or CEO
