About the Role
As Case Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Case Plans for children and young people in Out of Home Care. While drawing from your tertiary qualifications and experience, you will have a demonstrated understanding of current case plan practice for children and young people, experience with working with children and young people in out of home care, have strong negotiation and mediation skills and a current driver’s licence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high quality case plans for children and young people
  • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with children in out of home care
  • Ensure the CIRTS database is up to date with all client and carer information
  • Provide support and supervision to Foster Carers
  • Support and monitor placements
  • Participate in on call roster as required
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policy and procedure, statutory and contractual requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or Human Services
  • Demonstrated understanding of current casework practice for children
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children in out of home care and foster carers
  • Demonstrated ability to develop quality case plans
  • High level organisation and time management skills, and ability to reorganise work priorities to meet changing demands
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals, families or groups from strengths based culturally appropriate perspective

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable People Registration.

All urban environmental practices, research and policy occur on Aboriginal Country.  No matter the focus, approach, personnel, timing or framing, all of these practices have an impact on the lives and futures of Indigenous peoples.  A key challenge, then, is for urban practitioners and researchers to respond meaningfully to the expectations, rights and aspirations of Indigenous communities in urban areas. 

We are seeking a Research Fellow to lead a project exploring Indigenous perspectives on biodiversity in urban environments.  The Fellow will join the Clean Air and Urban Landscapes Hub (CAUL) of the National Environmental Science Program (NESP).  The NESP program is funded by the Australian federal government.

The Research Fellow will explore a range of research questions such as the significance of native biodiversity (including threatened species and ecological communities) for maintaining a connection to Country in the city; ways to improve the liveability and conservation value of urban landscapes by better incorporating Indigenous values and knowledge of biodiversity into urban design and management; and the utility of interdisciplinary collaborations between ecology, participatory art making and performance for engaging the broader community with Indigenous place, history and culture.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as Science, Environmental Science, Arts or a related field
  • Research experience, including the capacity to plan, conduct and report on research, relative to career opportunity
  • Expertise in field methods relevant to urban ecology
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with relevant professional and industry bodies, and to foster collaborative partnerships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diverse audiences
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines

About the role

About The Role

The CHPP Manager is responsible for delivering the operational plan for the Maules Creek CHPP. This will be achieved by ensuring the processing plant maintains day-to-day production and maintenance. 

Reporting to the General Manager, the CHPP Manager role is multi-faceted and will include duties such as:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the entire CHPP operation;
  • Oversee the development, operation and maintenance of CHPP systems and procedures;
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with regards to maintenance activities for all CHPP plant and equipment;
  • Liaise with Mine and Technical Services personnel with regards to schedule for coal processing activities;
  • Ensuring plant operational budget KPI’s are met;
  • Ensure the CHPP asset has an adequate asset management plan;
  • Provide leading input into Stock Pile Management;
  • Monitor, manage and report on CHPP Coal Quality;
  • Identify and communicate coal supply issues;
  • Provide advice to scheduling and planning processes to meet quality specifications;
  • Manage and coordinate Coal Logistics.

 

About You or Skills / Experience

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and personal qualities:

  • Alignment with the Maules Creek Coal Values, ensuring high quality outcomes;
  • Strongly committed to safety, the environment and our community;
  • Qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical/ Process Engineering or trade related discipline;
  • Ability to develop complex operational systems;

  • Ideally, at least five years’ managerial experience within a CHPP;
