PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Project Coordinator role will be responsible for the development and implementation of specific projects and process improvement initiatives targeted at priority operational areas of the Department of Rural Health (DRH).

The Project Coordinator will take an active role in the development of project plans and timelines, advice to project sponsors, project owners and key stakeholders to carry out a range of activities.  The role will directly support the Department in the effective and efficient delivery of operational objectives to a high standard to ensure the completion and full implementation of current projects and in identifying new and emerging project priorities.

Based in Shepparton, the incumbent will be required to work as a self-starter and as a highly effective team player working alongside colleagues in the DRH professional and academic teams.

The role needs to have strong skills in liaising with internal clients to understand their objectives and work with them to develop project plans to support these. They will require a high level of initiative, time management and a collaborative working style.  

The role will work closely with the Manager, Department of Rural Health to maximise engagement with target audiences and key stakeholders.

The Associate Professor, Senior Clinical Academic of the Goulburn Valley Regional Training (GVRT) Hub will provide regional leadership in developing innovative training solutions to address rural medical workforce recruitment and retention. In this exciting new role, you will lead and develop the GVRT Hub working with relevant education, professional and health service stakeholders in the region to develop and maintain models such as integrated training pathways for medical students interested in rural careers. Utilising your senior clinical academic knowledge and experience, you will develop networks to build successful partnerships to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the program.

You will make significant and innovative contributions in the success of regional medical education initiatives. 

You will establish regional leadership in junior doctor education and implement strategies that will leave a lasting impact on the regional medical education workforce.

You will have attained recognition at the national and/or international level in your clinical field. The position is located at the Department of Rural Health in Shepparton, which provides a high quality supportive and collaborative teaching and learning, research and engagement environment.

The Role

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced NDT Technician to support Easternwell. The role is based in Toowoomba operations on a 2 week on 2 week off roster and will report directly to the NDT Superintendent and liaise with Operations and Field staff to ensure the seamless operation of its rig fleet. As part of the Maintenance Team you will  provide support to workshop and staff and work closely with the other Trades & Superintendents. This is a field position and you will be expected to deal with multiple projects and personnel to ensure the uninterrupted operation of plant and equipment. This role is ideally suited to someone from a heavy industrial background with NDT qualifications.

The candidate will demonstrate the following key aspects:

  • Have an excellent knowledge of current Australian Standards, API Specifications and Petroleum Regulations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and contribute to an injury free environment through compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Review and Maintenance of company policies, procedures and SOP’s for all applicable equipment.

The Australian Venom Research Unit (AVRU), University of Melbourne, has a position for a highly motivated research assistant. The successful applicant will work as part of the team in AVRU’s Proteomics and Antivenomics Laboratory, utilising an integrated “-omics” approach, combined with bioassays and other techniques to characterise venoms and antivenoms. This work forms the core of AVRU’s basic research agenda, and contributes to studies including (but not limited to) investigations of the evolution of snake venoms, the production of venom and antivenom reference standards, and the design of novel biotherapeutics for the treatment of envenoming.

The successful candidate will hold an Honours or Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline and have experience/knowledge of wet lab procedures involved in protein chemistry and related areas of research. They will be motivated to work as part of a team in a complex and challenging research environment and be prepared to develop new skills. The Workplace Gender Equality Agency is the Australian Government's key agency charged with supporting and improving gender equality in Australian workplaces. 

Reporting to the Executive Manager Operations this role is responsible for providing high level support to WGEA's technology based projects and has overall responsibility for day to day maintenance, trouble shooting and monitoring of the Agency's information technology systems.
